Change PornHub

I posted this off-topic to a thread this morning and figured this would be a better place for it.

I simply ask that MESO members boycott PornHub until they make some very simple changes in policies and practice. They have a very relaxed policy of age verification for the performers in their videos. It’s despicable that they choose profits over the safety of minors.

They could invest a little money to legitimize the age verification process but they have elected not to. As a result, people exploit that. A 15-year old who was missing was recently found when a family friend recognized her in a pornhub video. She was kidnapped and forced to make videos. Unless something changes, this type of horrible thing will become normalized.

I’m not anti-porn. But this cannot happen out in the open. Make pornhub change by loosing views. Click somewhere else. Anywhere that has a verification system in place for any and all performers. It’s bad enough that parents suffer the kidnapping of their 15-year old daughter. They shouldn’t then have to make an identification on a video.

My wife brought something like this to my attention recently, not sure if it's the same thing but non the less it's totally reprehensible. Assuming this is happening in the community section?

Pornhub isn't really the only site that is a problem, is it? It's just the most popular. Not sure if they're really the only one that should be targeted... There are a million porn sites on the web, and we're kind of leaving out the dark web where you can find some really depraved shit.

I think your heart is in the right place, this just doesn't seem like a reoccurring problem on pornhub does it? Girls are getting kidnapped, trafficked, forced into addiction and raped and then killed when they no longer serve a purpose and putting it on pornhub serves no financial benefits to the criminals that do it. The movie "Taken"... That's really only partially a fictional story, that shit happens all over the world.

Maybe signing this petition would help, I'm really not sure... But there are a metric shit ton of anti trafficking organizations that could probably use a donation that will definitely make a difference.

You’re absolutely correct. PornHub is just easy to hit right now and honestly, they might as well start somewhere. Hopefully they do it to the biggest one and continue the fight thru all of it.

With the divided media, I’m glad to see one side is finally covering this story and not just reporting on stupid covid numbers. I’m really hopeful that it becomes real change and this shit is taken away for good. Like I said, I have kids and I swear to god I would go on a killing spree if anything happened to any one of them. It would make that movie “Taken” look calm in comparison. Any father should do that. Hell, if it happened to any kid in my area I would do the same.

Animals can't help themselves, to call these people animals is a compliment! Just like the term murder is reserved for humans and animals. I attended a sex trafficking symposium for public safety workers last year and it was an eye-opening experience. Also had a pt a few years ago, 15 yo female, whose older brother and uncle had been forcing her to make videos for years. Mom was aware and turned a blind eye. She was being hidden in a well-house outside the home while LE and DSS was searching for her.. Had a sleeping bag and food/water crammed in there.

I was there when the family was arrested and I took her to the ER on the BooBoo Bus. I have a daughter and this messed my head up for a while. I could have zipped-tied the family together, poured gasoline on them, and watch them burn alive ... and then go home and sleep like a baby.

They arrived at a Walmart and the mom noticed as they approached the store that three men who were seated outside scoping them out pretty good. As she shopped she noticed one of the three followed her basically isle for isle. As she was checking out she noticed the same man watching her from the exit doors. As she walked by him she heard him say into his cell phone” she’s coming out”. As they got closer to her car the other two men that were sitting outside when she got there approached her and asked her for help with something in their car. Lol. That’s when she put the barrel of her glock in his face and told him to fuck off.
