285x1 30lb PR
300x fail pretty sure I had it but spot was a little overzealous and helped....
300xfail second attempt legit didnt have it

Well a 30 lb increase on my bench in 4 weeks is awesome... In my mind I would have gotten the 300 on the 1st attempt.

Will post up videos once I edit them

I failed a 315 PR because of it...
Didnt want to start pretending to be Larry wheels, so indidnt do another attempt for months, where I got it.
Pissed me off, because I know I had it, but I couldnt count it.

Very annoying

But the 300 looked solid

Yeah the second one I didnt have it after the first attempt.. he even apologized and said he should have let me struggle more... he thinks I would have had it too if he hadnt helped

A little awkward on way down, lost tightness in right shoulder had to get it back on the way down.

Hey bud! Great PR- little tip is your wrist wraps aren’t on properly (try having half of the wrap on the bottom of your hand)- also, you’re exerting a TON of energy by bringing the bar down slowly like that. Keep on training and you’ve definitely got 315 in you soon

Awesome and thank you, I find I am slow on the decent and try to speed it up, mental block needing to be worked on. This one my right shoulder got loose it seemed.

Good job man, good to see the Smolov worked for ya. Don’t worry about over reaching and having a miss. It’s fine you’ll get it next time. The only time I really think it’s a problem is too close to a meet.

Thanks, yeah I will consider this maybe 1x a year to keep pushing... back to 531 or sheiko not sure yet probably 531 and transition to sheiko... although I did copy your post from another thread that looks interesting too

Think I need some longer wraps to do it right..

I think you can test Bench maxes more frequently, upper recovers much more quickly than say a heavy deadlift. That’s a pretty simple H/M/L 4 day split. I could write up some thing a little more specific to you if you want. It’s just a DUP program
