CPAP MACHINE

I received my machine. Tried it one night wearing the nose piece only(should have gotten the full mask). Guess I’m a mouth breather. Lol. Woke up at 2 am and checked my blood pressure. It was 117/77. Woke up at 5 am for work and it was 150/100 !!! Last night I had a stuffy nose so didn’t even attempt to wear the nose piece. Will post up my results when I try the full mask. I will say I woke up feeling better after the first night wearing it but still baffled about my blood pressure being so high upon waking.

@Roger rabbit

Any thoughts Amigo?

Get used to the stuffy nose especially just after putting your mask on. A few hours before going to bed use some allergy spray to keep your sinuses open thruout the night.

And when your sick with the flu use vicks sinex that will open you open sinuses while your sick.

It seemed fine the first night. Nose stayed clear but I must admit sleeping with that thing was “different “. Lol. I have my machine on all auto basically and it seemed like the machine changing to my sleep was kinda interrupting my sleep? Oh well. Guess it’s all part of it.

Its definitely something that takes a bit to get used to. You shouldn't feel much of anything while you are using it though. I know when I got mine years ago my nose would plug up something fierce and found that generic Claritin would keep it open all night long. A few times a week I use it now. It's trial and error with these in the begging.

Thanks BH. Really appreciate your help. Looking forward to getting this squared away and sleeping right.

Damn that’s pretty high. A lot of cold type medications can raise BP significantly so be aware if you decide to try them. Probably best to try to go without for a while though

My cousin had this issue at first and this is what my cousins doctor told him so hopefully it is of some help. Typically a CPAP Machine should cause blood pressure to decrease. Rarely for about 2 weeks it can cause a slight increase in terms of “getting used to it”. Reasons for this may be

1. Your body just getting used to a new thing/uncomfortable at first can be a “shock to the body”.

2. Make sure that the pressure and fit are correct as these can cause blood pressure increases if not “dialed in”.

If it hadn’t improved after 2 weeks then he recommended my cousin come see him. My cousin also found this forum which he said was pretty helpful if you don’t want to see a doctor and waste the time and money they could probably help you narrow it down better.

Anyways hopefully this is somewhat helpful to you and others with Sleep Apnea or CPAP machines. If not feel free to ignore it.

Careful with the nose mists as they are addicting and can be very hard to get off.

I am not familiar with cpap machines or any affects they may cause. I did however, consider one at a time in my life but never made the jump due to My laziness on research lol.

Allergy spray can be used everyday.

But the vicks max 2 to 3 days , but when your sick with the flu and your nose is plugged up you'll need to breathe and sleep.
Easy boss. The rabbit comes in peace. He is a wealth of knowledge and he didn’t mean to disrespect you. He is great people.

Which allergy spray are you talking about?
If you are talking about a 4way or even Afrin then no, you cannot take this everyday.

If the allergy spray you are talking about such as a Flonase then sure. No problem take at at will.

I probably should have specified to exactly which “ allergy” medicine I was talking about since I was assuming you were speaking to afrin or 4way based products since you mentioned the Vick’s nasal spray...

WTF.. OS needs a CPAP?

And here he was telling me how incredible his DNA is.

I'm telling you OS, it won't be long before you need those dentures and diapers.

Meso members needs to be calm the fuck down.

OPSEC should be the top priority of anyone on this board, that's why I change my handle every few weeks and yet I catch shit over this.

Lets stop criticizing each other and start showing some love.
Lol. Fuck you my little tethered basement dwelling bitch. I’m going to give you a solid internet skull fucking. Buckle up boy. Haha.
