Is owning an RV all its cracked up to be or a pain in the ass?

He has been obsessed with dirtbikes ever since, so I figured what the hell. But his first experience riding was also mine as well (and no, my first bike was not a YZ, lol)

He started on a razor electric dirtbike and then the ttr50, then the 100, it was either going to be an 80 or 100, but I got the 100 and shaved 2" off the seat

For anyone who has ever owned an RV, is it as much fun as you thought it would be?

We love road trips and having the time to travel isn't an issue, but I'm smart enough to know that sometimes the wanting is better than the having. So let's hear it

As someone who has made his mistake, and got rid of it: you could rent a much nicer RV and not have to maintain it for a fraction of the price of buying one. Unless you have the time for your family to go on the road 8 weeks or more per year, I'd just rent an RV once or twice a year.

A good idea if you can get a good deal on an RV rental. Average rental is about $500-800.

I love my travel trailer.. even better since we decided to park it seasonal. I can still take it on a road trip if I want to, otherwise it's like a cottage on wheels.. couple of hours away and we spend most of our summer there (weekends and vacation time). No hassles of setting up and tearing down, it's always level.. just show and go.

If it were just myself I would do that, but it has to fit 3 or 4 ppl and a pitbull that lives for road trips. How bad is it that the dog is a motivational factor behind this? I love going on road trips with that dog, it's pretty much the highlight of my life

Thanks for your input, I think a travel trailer is the route I may go. We love to travel and camping sort of goes hand in hand with motocross that my son enjoys
