I have been looking all over the last week and cannot find sterile ptfe pvde filter bottle tops .22 um. Whattman zap cap cr seem to be non sterile now. Any help very much appreciated here or through pm. Ty

Benzyl alcohol doesn't sterilize anything, it's just a bacteriostatic.

Hmm I thought you can “sterilize” syringe filters with BA, guess it doesn’t work for bottle top filters?

If memory serves, and i know it sounds counterproductive, is to run a few MLs of some carrier oil in it in a vial or beaker that isn't mission critical.

I've actually found quite a few places. Very good prices if you buy a 12 count. Millipore pdve, zap caps, autofil pp, and nalgene. I was using the wrong search engine. Google sucks. dscbalances, ezvialz, bacterius, mylabsupply, southernlabware.

It doesn't work for syringe filters either. In order to sterilize something you need a bactericidal, which kills bacteria. A bacteriostatic prevents growth of bacteria.

Yes google is terrible now. They only show what they make money off of now. Or what the communist want you to see. Compare a few searches to duckduckgo.
