Post workout recovery, what do you like to do?

Before stretching I've been using a percussion massager, really helps loosen the body up. I tend to get really tight quads and 20 to 30 seconds loosen them up good, away better than foam rolling.
Recently made up some removable handles for it, can hit the back without needing someone to help.

Also love the inversion table, lower back lives it. Use that just about daily. Really helps with an old injuryi incurred years ago.

So what's yours
 
Foam rolling followed by a real quick targeted yoga session, usually. Sometimes a bit of old school lacross ball torture if I have a lot of knots to break up.

I used to make fun of yoga, but if you just do it as stretching without all of the hokey soccer mom mysticism it’s a game changer.

Yeah do like some of the yoga moves, but agree with the other shit that comes along with it, I'd probably be more into it if it was more streamlined.

If you got the money should look in to a percussion massager, or I know people make their own at the fraction of the cost with some powertools, I think the worx sawzall is suppose to be good, and but the tips and attachments off ebay. My foam roller and lacross ball is just in the corner of my gym collecting dust.

If you mean immediately post workout, not much. I do some foam rolling and some stretching. I usually eat something along the lines of:
250 grams greek yogurt with 25 g whey protein and possibly 11 grams of peanut protein powder with some blueberries and maple syrup or honey to sweeten.
or the same thing but instead of greek yogurt I will have quick cooking oats instead. Often times I will also have a couple ounces of chicken or salmon or tilapia--whatever we have in the fridge just to add a few grams of protein. I try to get like 60 grams protein in after my workout and a mix of fast and medium-speed digesting proteins.
OR lately I have been having 15 grams of BulkSupplements EAAs immediately post workout before I even eat anything else. I take 2 tablespoons (~15 grams) into a glass, then heat up some water and just mix it up with like 1 or 2 shot glasses worth of water. I just down it like a shot. I have found that trying to sweeten it or add flavorings is a futile effort and it's easier to just down it. I like to get that in my system, then I will eat my yogurt or protein oatmeal or whatever.
I usually take some digestive enzymes along with this meal to help break things down. I have two: one is Pure Encapsulations Digestive Enzymes Ultra and the other is NOW Supplements Super Enzymes.

For the rest of the day. I foam roll twice a day usually, stretch every night, take epsom salt baths and while I am in the bath I massage my muscles with some massage stones.

I've made detachable handles on my massage gun, makes it really easy to hit your back, probably cost me 15$ to do. Back always gets tight, and sucks trying to find someone to do it for you.

I've used 2 hose clamps with a turn key, because if it's on too tight the battery doesn't come out easily, a 3/4 in wooden dowel cut in half (the pvc is too flexible and 1 inch is too thick) 2 3/4 pvc male connector and 2 3/4in pvc female connector and tape to hold down the trigger.

Hard to see but the 2 female connectors are held together by a small piece of the wooden dowel on the massage gun. I also just leave that piece on the massager and cut back any of the excess of the hose clamp. I find it doesn't hinder the massager and makes it for an easy connection with the 2 sticks, overall about 15$ to make

I used a rubber mallet to hammer down the connectors on the dowel pieces as the dowel had a slight bigger diameter them the connectors but it made for a really tight fitting connection, if you got one that doesn't fit snug you can probably drill a screw through the side

If you get a 3rd female connector you can make a portable stick for shoulder rotations

I need it big style especially on traps area too
My only problem with the set up is that its hard to grab on to the pole at the lower back, looking at a way to add an 3/4in nipple offset, think that might bring the pole closer to my back, don't know if it will impede the the tip though.

Which massage gun are you using?
