Carbs when cutting on cycle

Shits so fucking good man. Awesome home life. I'm married with kids now. Their amazing. Got a laid back job making good money and benefits. Just had to spend time on myself. I made some posts a few months back but slacked off again.
Can't stay away from here as usual. I love learning new shit and debating...not the arguing and pointless bullshit obviously. Lol
Good shit man, that's awesome to hear.

So basically I'm on a 500 calorie deficit at 1920 calories which would put me at 96g carbs / 240g protein / 64g fats this is at a 20% / 50% / 30%

Does this seem correct to you?
Would you stick to these carb limits every day? Same with the fats?

Thanks for the info
Are you even reading the posts others are writing?

No, this does not seem correct to me. My wife is cutting on more than that.

What does your cardio regimen look like?

OK so having a stressful re think and a good read. I have my maintenance calories at 2900 as I workout 6times a week. Which puts me at 2400 calories cutting on a 500cal deficit?

Protein 270g
Carbs 180g
Fats 66g

And then do you recommend cutting the fats and carbs as each weeks progress?

Weights training for 1hour followed with 45mins on the stair climber burning 500cals cardio

I’d guess they make up the remainder of your calories. The only macro I pay attention to is protein then I just fill in the rest of calories with whatever I want to eat. It doesn’t really matter. Fats and carbs are energy. If you eat too many calories you store them, if you don’t eat enough you lose weight. If you eat enough protein you’ll lose minimal lean tissue and hang on to more muscle.

Stop overthinking it. No macro is magical for fatloss. Just calories. I’d recommend lowering cals after weight loss stalls. Carbs fats it doesn’t matter. You know what I never cut out? Pop tarts and muffins. The only macro I track is protein. I can tell you my calories and food choices but I don’t care what ratio my carbs to fats are

Carbs are not bad. The demonization of carbs on social media is a bunch of bullshit. Keto isn't magic. Basically it works for people who are "carb addicts" because they stop eating foods that they lose control over. They cut out the donuts and spaghetti and pizza and candy bars. Then they lose weight because suddenly they are in a caloric deficit! Amazing, right? It's the deficit that does the magic, not the fat.

The classic "get shreeded" diet is a ton of protein, lots of carbs, and minimal fat. Keto also is often deleterious to lipid values, so combining that WITH a cycle seems like a great recipe for some extra fucked up cholesterol levels.

Its hard not to overthink it when you put some macros on here with high protein and others start saying its all wrong

Thanks for the reply bro.. so I'm starting my cycle in 2 weeks with a deficit of 500 cals which will leave me at 2400 and my macros will be carbs - 240 protein 240 fats 50.

My question is when the weight has come to a plateu would you start to decrease the calories and leave the macros at the same 40/40/20 ratio or would you start to cycle the carbs every 3 days kind of thing?

I don’t count macros. Macros besides protein don’t matter. It’s whatever is most sustainable within your caloric budget that matters. I’d lower calories and what I want. My cals are at 2400 right now as well. My protein is at 250. I fill in the remaining 1400 with any food that I want. Stop looking at as macros. Carb cycling doesn’t work any faster than anyother diet as long as cals are equal. Take macros and put them out of your brain. Deduct your protein and fill in the rest wuth food you enjoy. Why are you so worried about carbs and fats?
When it stalls lower cals. Last night I saved 800 cals for chick fil a because I wanted to eat chick fil a. I don’t count carbs and fats. It does not matter. My protein would stay the same that is the only constant

High protein is never wrong. Yours is 240. It isn't that high.

The white board starts around 10:44

Great bit of advice in there. Because my body has been used to around 2000 calories for the past month I haven't seen any changes on the scales. This is with cardio and the gym. I will be bumping my calories up to 2400 tomorrow increasing carbs dramatically while staying in a deficit and then start to decrease them when I start to plateu. Thanks man
