Well that was an interesting experience. Wore the slingshot briefs to help with my hip/ adductor pain. 5mm thick neoprene shorts that rise up to the top of midsection. They’re pretty supportive in the bottom but it felt like they took some of my legs out of movement in the hole. Easier on my adductor that’s for sure but totally fucked me up if I went below parallel. On my last rep of 396 I decided (regrettably ) to burry it and the briefs basically shot my hips out the hole faster than everything else and pitched me forward. I tried to squat morning it and got it about 6-8” from lock out before my low back quit. Had to ram the uprights and let it down onto the bench J hooks in my combo rack. So between low carbs and that I Pretty much blew my wad. Finished some easy bench and called it. Might not use those again,lol

Blood pressure is 140/86, about what it was on blast. Dropped the Mk 677 down to 12.5mg from 25. Feeling less lethargic

I love those slingshot briefs so much I bought a back up pair lol. In strongman they’re legal in pretty much every event. So I love using them on yoke, stones. Carry medleys, squats, deadlifts, everything. I think they added 20 lbs to my deadlift, but more than anything they’re a REAL hip saver

Deadlift was feeling pretty good in spite of the hip pain and a little diet fatigue . Decided to hit a couple singles. 551 felt like maybe a RPE 9, held on to it for a solid 5 seconds at the top. Not really dropping much scale weight but my bf is slowly starting to decrease. So somewhat of a recomp, really didn’t expect that. I think initially the drop in carbs fucked me up but adding some extra fat in peanut butter, milk and cheese is keeping me from going insane and appears to be preserving tissue. Not sure what to do with the Mk 677, dropped it off a couple days and felt much better. Took it yesterday and was fine but did it in the am. Forgot to dose today. Maybe I’ll try taking in the am with breakfast? On most days I’m making an egg white omelette 6-8 egg whites and a bunch of cheese. Training day I also have oat meal or maybe a slice of bread. I’m sure my lifts will drop off but Im hoping dead’s will at least maintain, could get some improvement from position if I loose my gut

I’ve been looking into those…I wasn’t sure if they were gonna live up to the hype, but Mark Bell is pretty damn good at what he does, so I should’ve guessed.

They definitely are good for some overload training. A bit more than compression shorts actually feel like they take some of the weight like a Slingshot does but not nearly as much. They changed the form a bit though

Squats feeling miles better today. Definitely made some mistakes last couple sessions. Had been pointing my toes straight instead of having them out around 15*. Turned my toes out a bit and had much better success. Felt like I could have knocked out another rep maybe even with a bit more weight. Getting close to 5Rm Pr territory. Probably just doing squats once and deadlift one a week unless it’s something very light. The sumo was just to check some form stuff. Had an MAT session and wanted to test how my hip and glute felt afterwards. Some improvement, already.

Ok workout. Can’t complain, had the long weekend. Went in feeling good today. Little diet fatigue but no real performance losses yet. Been splitting the Mk 677 dose between am and pm. Feeling better on it. Also been trying some fasting, never thought I would say this. I typically cannot handle fasting, I get headaches and super hangry. Its actually not that bad being on the Mk. Now I see how guys do it on hgh. Maybe that where I was fucking up when I took hgh previously. Blood sugar too high possibly? I have a glucose testing kit. I may start checking it just to get some idea what the Mk does to mine.

MK can significantly raise BG in some people.

I can do a 16-8 fast just fine. I need to drink black coffee while I'm fasting though. There's just something about it. Without it I feel hungry and I can't drink a lot of water without feeling nauseous. Without water in the morning I feel like shit. But if I just drink coffee I feel I can go on with my morning as normal and not eat until lunch. I would assume you already drink coffee when you fast, but you'd be surprised how many people I've talked to that didn't realize you could drink coffee on an IF

Definitely drinking coffee, might even have a sugar free energy drink lol. Gona try to fast until noon since it’s not a training day today.

That’s so weird, man… I remember my 5 RM with squat was like 440, but 475 was my 2 RM and 505 was my max…I wonder how that works, cos your squat max is higher than mine has ever been lol.

So my best sleeves squat is 485 and best for 5 in sleeves is 405, best for 3 in sleeves 435, best for 2 is 455. That was last year. Spent this whole year training and competing in wraps thus far. My sleeves max is probably a bit higher now. I think sets of 5 are foreign to me and just working my way back to them.

The 16/8 fast wasn’t too bad yesterday. Was a little grouchy around 9-10 am until I ate around noon, then I was fine. Squeezed quite a bit of food in those 8 hrs. Woke up 4 lbs lighter. Ate mostly normal again today. Performance feeling fine. Little rep PR on dead’s. I’m sure it was there when I was on the juice judging by my 545x3. Try the fasting again tomorrow. Last meal today at 7 pm

Third day of IF , 16/8. First time I did training without breakfast. To be honest I gassed out quick after squats. Had to start drinking some calories, ended up downing a half gal of fairlife chocolate milk throughout the remainder of my training. Good thing I was at home and got a fridge in the garage with extra stuff in there. intra work out calories may be a requirement if I keep doing this. Actually feeling good on it and noticing the recomp. Kinda nice getting to sleep an extra hour and skip breakfast and not worry about taking a shit in the morning. Cant see doing IF deep in a meet prep but it’s fine for my purposes now.
