Posture Thread

I'm curious about everything to do with posture, specifically, BAD posture. I want to discuss all things to do with posture:
How to get in touch with a professional who works specifically with posture.
Good posture exercises and regimen.
Real world experience in correcting bad posture.
Myths and common yet bad advice for posture.
etc.

Personally, I feel this topic deserves its own section on the forum page, but I've yet to find it... any help @Millard ?

So to start, I've wrestled with APT (anterior pelvic tilt) for quite some time and I've been working at correcting it.
only catch is... I have a shorter torso with nice long legs so most exercises don't feel like they're doing their thing.
I've had to ignore very good advice at times to actually feel what I'm supposed to where I'm supposed to.
Any ideas on how to stretch and relax lower back and hip flexors with limited range possible?

Thanks guys

I've had problems keeping my back straight and chest out my whole life. Sometimes it's because of work, like working in small spaces, other times I find it caused by phone use

It’s crazy how one small thing, like looking down at a phone for too much time, can lead to multiple problems trying to adjust the bodies position to compensate. Then we’re left with a bag of problems and one fix doesn’t seem to cut it. There lies the questions… what’s the root cause that started the bad posture (so we can prevent it from happening once we correct it) and where to start and how to progress…

After tearing a muscle I found during my recovery Physical Therapy.

Nothing has helped me more with posture, balance and muscle symmetry than Physical Therapy. Most of it was covered by my insurance for that injury and all the other injuries. Physical Therapy is in my opinion completely underrated as a tool for helping people that are active in any way.

Nice I’m looking into it and it seems like a legit program worth trying if they have a demo of sorts. Any chance you tried this method with Anterior Pelvic Tilt?
Yes, it really helps to teach your body to activate the “right” muscles when you move. It helped my anterior pelvic tilt and more.
