Could this be also water retention and glycogen stored in muscle and not actual muscle?
Researchers used DXA (great validity) and a three compartment model. Given what we know from Bhasin and the mechanisms, this is reflective of real increased muscle CSA.

At 50mcg yeah that’s too high realistically to be using for growth or even maintenance, just wheel spinning, kinda like recomping ;)
well I'm intuitively upping my calories, and am adding red meat back to my diet, so I won't be at maintenance much.

Do you measure yourself? No, I don't mean your dick!! Your muscle stats. I have a spreadsheet I keep all my measurements in. Thighs, calves, arms, forearms, chest, net, stomach, waistline, glutes, shoulders. All cold flex. I have been doing this for about 18 months now, once per month (sometimes more often when on cycle as I can literally see the water and nitrogen retention gains in muscular circumference measurements over the course of a week or two).

On top of that I do skin fold caliper measurements for love handles and stomach. I really don't have any fat anywhere else so that's all I do.

If you don't. Get a soft tape measure and start measuring. Then you can quantify rather than looking at pics and trying to figure it if you are fuller or not.

You don’t weigh anything?
I've been weighing shit for months, so I have an "eye" and I basically eat the same meals, but I am sure I am over maintenance...However, I weighed myself this AM at 229, which means I lost 3lbs since yesterday, so that's weird. Anyway, I'm not trying to cut anymore so I'm just eating normally.

But I've also been half-way sick for like a month, with this annoying cough and cold-like thing; it's not covid or the flu, which I got tested for, nor is it enough to prevent me from going to the gym. But ever since I got Covid last Novernmeber, I've been getting say so many times, which never happens to me.

You don't gain or lose from day to day. Weigh yourself one a week on the same day and time.

You gotta weigh stuff for years before you can eyeball brother

even I still use my scale 10 years in
That’s how you can be precise, and increase in 50g increments etc. I highly recommend.

I’ve been weighing for over 20 years myself. Eyeballing is lazy dogshit. So is “eating normally,” then wondering why you haven’t made progress. Stop guessing, calculate your BMR, eat 500 cals over it. Count your macros, weigh your food. If you’re this haphazard with your diet, I’m assuming the training is along the same lines. Slamming 1g of nandrolone a week is serious shit, the rest should be taken equally as seriously.

We all can fluctuate daily. I weight myself every morning, put the weight on my calendar, and go off he averages per week. I will even note if I under or over ate that day.

I know, I've just been a little looser now that I"m not cutting anymore, and yet I'm still not getting fatter.

My training is on point, that is no question. Eyeballing may be lazy, especially during a cut, but if counting macros daily and always weighing shit is not sustainable for a person, they will veer off course. But now that I'm not cutting, I don't feel the need to be super precise, and if I overeat more, it cannot harm me that much, so long as I'm not eating 1000 calories more, which I'm not.

Moreover, What I've done is created meals that I know the calorie content of. But yes, I've been slacking no question about it, yet still not getting bloated or whatever else. My strength is also going up. Deca is peaking now I believe at this week.

I went to Costco and got some steaks and other things, and I will be "cleaning" up my diet more, weighing and all as well... I just took a break for the last few weeks. And being on t3, also made me lazy since it was burning things off, but no longer on it.

If you need to save money just get ground beef. I love steak as much as the next person, but I'm cheap and I'll get the ground beef every time. I try to stick with 92-93% or leaner.

I actually stopped eating red meat since last year, only recently have been putting in back in here and there. I've basically thriving off turkey and chicken. I don't mind spending money on food; besides, 3lbs of round top steak at Costs is like 23 bucks or so, and i'll only be eating one red meat meal a day, probably 6-8oz per serving. Costco doesn't have the lean beef options; they are 83%.

Remember gents, how I used to be lol... lol.png

As for the diet that I ate which helped me lose 30lb of fat I made a menu of Items to select from.

Protein Pancakes: 550 (54g, 73c, 7f) Breakfast PREWO

½ Cup Almond Milk

1 Cup Kodiak Mix

1 x Isopure

1 x Sugar-free Maple Syrup

1 x Light Whipped Cream

Chicken & Rice: 592 (57p 74c, 6f) PWO

6oz Chicken

200g Rice

Sesame sauce

(then eventually got rid of that shit and made my own lower-calorie Yum Yum sauce) Also, began to throw soy sauce on there, but didn't count later on...

Nuggets & Fries: 510 (34p, 44c, 21f)

6oz Bare Chicken (from Costo is amazingl; air fried)

6oz Fries (all in air fryer)

1 x G Huges BBQ

Turkey Burger & Pretzels: 470 (37p, 55c, 12f)

1 x Butter Ball patty

1 Roll

1 oz Pretzel Crisps

1 Pickle

(this was eventually switch to ground turkey burrito or rice bowl)

Cheese Tortillas: 346 (27p, 43c, 7f)

1 x Mission Wrap

60 g Fat-free Cheddar

1 x Low-fat Sour Cream

1 x Salsa
(eventually dropped this one to make the above meal better)

PB Fit Sandwich: 380 (28p, 47c, 8f)

2 x Bread

48g PB fit

1 x jelly

(some nights I ate this, other nights not; sometimes I switched bread with rice cakes).

This is obviously IIFYM. I started to incorporate Yasso ice cream bars, once a day 100 calories. I recently added an apple PWO meal; then a banana with my burrito meal. Sometimes the burrito meal turns into rice and turkey instead of a burrito. This is what I mean by intuitive, but roughly all made of the same ingredients or macro ratios, except lately I've gotten rid of fat free cheeses, switched to 2%, and only recently gone full fat for the holidays...Again, loosening it up.

But I will make new meals now for the "clean" bulk. I'll breakfast the same. PWO the same, but change the last 3 meals of the day to better versions, same forulma of 200g rice, 6 oz beef or turkey, with stir fry veggies, soy sauce and yum yum sauce. I do enjoy my nuggets at night, but have switched fries to smart pop on occasion.

I know we all fluctuate daily, that was my point. I like you're enthusiasm, but you're a little neurotic with your application. Said with love.

I am actually not neurotic, I'm tend to overthink, and also doubt myself, which is why I'm fickle. I'll say time to cut, but then look at my arm and say, this should be 19 inches lol.

Having PTSD from the War also doesn't help lol.

Just remember, most people are here to support you. There's always going to be a few dicks who just want to fuck with you.

I know. But neurotic isn't the correct word, more like over-analytical. I just looked up neurotic and that doesn't describe me at all. I'm usually very logical and cool-headed, but with that logicalness, I tend to try to find better things and overcomplicate them lol.

Why did you drop beef? It’s FULL of micro nutrients
