Stopper deteriorated?

Weird one for you guys. This is a vial of test c made in mct 1% ba 20%bb, made and capped a few months ago. Popped off the flip top and the stopper looks like this. I'll assume it's no good, but what caused this?

Was the finished product warm when the stopper and cap were affixed to the vial?

Those cheap rubber ones will do that. Get the clear silicon ones buddy. They last much longer.

It was warm, that's what my thought was, maybe it created a vacuum?

Ok. I figure if it's just the result of a vacuum that's fine, I just wanted to be sure the stopper itself hadn't somehow degraded and contaminated the oil

Unless the vacuum was strong enough to break the seal? Personally I'd probably toss it if it's just one vial. At least watch for floaters carefully before each draw. The stopper might be brittle and chunk off into the vial with use.

Weird.. I would toss it.. if it did that to the top of the stopper, imagine what your oil mixture could have absorbed.

Did you EO in the brew? I've had similar rubber stoppers deteriorate like when I used EO in the mix.

Its from capping or putting warm oil in the vial, then it cooled down and sucked the stopper at the weakest point.
