I hardly ever have anything sent to my house but if I have to use my address and I'm expecting a package I put a sign on the door telling the courier to leave packages in a chosen safe location (usually just says throw it over the fence in to the garden/yard or try delivery to neighbours). I'll never actually sign for a gear delivery myself these days though. Fuck that.

Renting a small cheap storage locker is a good idea for package deliveries. The reception staff will take delivery of letters/parcels for your unit and call you/text you when something arrives.

I'm in UK though. Might be different in USA..

I've been ordering from domestic sources for years obviously using my real name and address. If I'm willing to take drugs I'm willing to risk receiving a mail package.
