The subject is distended abs/bloated belly.

Is there a way to reverse this condition?

I'm from the era of mass monsters when training was all about size gains and doing sit ups with big plates and heavy barbells was common practice. This training style gave me a thick and strong core for sure but my stomach is now bigger than my chest so I'm trying to figure out how to reduce the size of my mid section now (if it's even possible) ?

I'm scared that if I start training abs again my stomach is going to get even bigger.

Help???

There are several things to consider:
- your genetics (some people are more prone to having a potbelly than others),
- your lifestyle (do you drink alcohol?),
- eating habits (do you eat heavy and/or late at night?),
- your age (middle-aged spread is a reality am afraid)

However, you can try out this 5 minute daily workout for training your abs:
- Mountain Climbers (30 sec + 10 sec rest),
- Slow Climber (for both the right and left side) 30 sec for each side with a 10 sec rest after each side routine,
- Hip Dips (also for both sides and for 30 sec on each side with a 10 sec rest in between)
- Alternating Toe Touch Crunches (30 sec + 10 sec rest),
- Rounded Back Scissor Kicks (3p sec + 10 sec rest),
- Alternating Heel Touch (30 sec + 10 sec rest),
- High Plank (both sides) 39 sec on each side with 10 sec rest in between,

With these exercises you'll improve your waistline while also strengthening your core.

But note that this workout is useless if you do not make lifestyle changes, if that is responsible for your bloated abs. Goodluck dear.

What do you usually cycle? High androgens?
Do you run hgh/ Slin?

Does your stomach distend all day, or is it noticeably bigger at night?

As for your stomach being bigger than your chest... one way to improve the look would be to increase your chest/back and that would help make your waist look smaller.

Now to answer your original question.

Start doing stomach vacuum poses ASAP.

Do you use a belt when doing heavy deadlifts, squats, rows, etc?

What is your body fat %? Are you doing any cardio? I would recommend adding some and slowly working your way up. Dropping body fat is probably going to be one of the better ways to solve your problem.

Chances are you have some visceral fat that is pushing your stomach out. I highly doubt that the distended stomach was caused from sit ups with a 45lb plate. You can try lowering the weight if it will make you feel better but I expect the effect to be negligible.

Thanks for the advice.

Diet and training are always good and I cycle daily so I think I get adequate cardio but age and drinking are probably issues I should start considering coz my metabolism probably isn't as high as it was when I was younger and my lifestyle these days is much more sedentary.

I'm still quite lean/muscular but my stomach is always distended so I've attributed this to years of heavy core work and GH. Perhaps I'm wrong and I just to eat/drink less and be more active?

The thing that confuses me the most is that my stomach is not fat/flabby so this isn't an "out of shape" issue. If I tense my abs they're still rock solid under all the bloat/distension.

I used a lot of GH back in the day bro so that's partly why I think this is a distension issue rather than something diet/lifestyle related.

The main meds I use these days are just test and tren so I can't see this being gear related.

My stomach always looks distended but it bloats considerably after each meal.

I cycle daily and do a bit of cross fit.

Bodyfat? That's a hard one to judge. I'm quite lean everywhere else (probably 12%-16% at a guess) but my stomach looks like it's about 30% sometimes.

Do you think it's possible that I'm just gaining fat in the mid section and nowhere else ???

If you're just full of shit (literally) then you could try some senna tea (Smooth Move Tea) for a couple days to clear you out. This can be a problem for guys that eat a ton and then take compounds rhat theoretically slow down gastric motility, like HGH or Tren. I haven't found any studies directly linking HGH to GI transit time, so I say it's still theoretical--but it's a commonly report side effect. So senna, a natural laxative that can be used short term could help.

If that does help, then you have the knowledge and can move forward and make decisions accordingly.

Oh and also, as a note. I drank one cup of smooth move tea every night for like 2 years back when I was abusing opiates. It entirely prevented the constipation which was incredible. I didn't seem to have any megative health effects.

Interesting info. Thanks.
I've never heard of senna or smooth move tea before and don't even know if it's available in UK but I'll do a bit of googling bro ;)

A friend of mine on another forum suggested to me that getting a colonic irrigation might be helpful and then using laxatives regularly but I'm not constipated and I have a bowel movement once a day so I'm leaving that option as a last resort.

Yes... primarily due to your PED of choice and insulin resistance.

What are you currently cycling right now? (Juice/hgh/etc) Give me the juicy details.

How is your diet? High carb? I would suggest doing carb cut offs after 6pm and just sticking with protein fat and green veg. Do you train in the AM, afternoon or night? You still want carbs pre and post training so you if you train at night we will have to adjust. Your body will be most insulin sensitive PWO.
Also start drinking green tea, 2-4 cups a day and work your way up. Great natural fat burner.

Also I would recommend adding cinnamon to your shakes( if you use vanilla) and drinking a TBSP or two of apple cider vinegar half an hour before your protein carb meals. This will further increase your insulin sensitivity.

How much do you cycle daily? Time?

And for someone who is that active being around 16% body fat tells me that you can probably clean up your diet a bit. If you want my advice take a running food log for the week( EVERYTHING you eat and drink) and record your exact training and cardio for the week. I’d be happy to help you get rid of this problem by summer so you look ripped up like Rambo!

My diet is 90% clean but my lifesyle is crazy so meal timing/sleep pattern is all fucked up. Sometimes I can be eating at night and other times during the day.

Current cycle (blast) is 1g test-e and 100mg tren hex per week..

Apple cider vinegar?

The food log is a good idea and I'm gonna start that next week. Your help and advice are both really appreciated bro ;)
