How to know if I just tore my triceps

Hello,

I was doing Pull Day today.

Finishing with some heavy dumbbell Pull Over to stretch and squeeze the lats I felt a "crack" in the middle of my left triceps.

I think I didn't tore it because:

1) Once the crack happened, I did not need to go in a rush for dropping the dumbbell, I just did in a controlled way.

2) I am conserving full mobility of the arm.

3) I can even do push ups.

Ofc I stopped the workout and it is sore, but not excruciating pain, no swelling, not heavy pain when activating the triceps.

What the fuck just happened to me?

Thanks in advanced.

Do you have full range of motion? Yes

Do you have pain?

Do you have discoloration?

Muscles don't typically tear in the middle of the muscle belly. You're probably fine

No pain but it's sore.

No discoloration.

Yes it was in the middle of the triceps.

I won't do push/triceps in 1 week or so.

If it were me, and I'm not a PT, I would do light high rep extensions with bands to work the muscle and pump blood. Nothing taxing, think like you're helping a senior exercise

Grade 1 tear probably. So you won't get swelling or discoloration but there is a minor tear there. Should be healed in a couple weeks as long as you rest the muscle.

Doing Pull and legs mean rest the muscle too?

No push no triceps
