Your experience on modafinil

Hi guys, i want to let you know what i would like to do on modafinil, for some insomnia that i have, to get a restfull sleep i keep in the bed for over 10,11 hours. It is probably that i Will be in a situation where i won't be able to do that, so i Just want to know, with 5/6 hours of sleep, modafinil Will help me to stay awake and fell good like when i'm in my home ? Tell me your experiences!!
 
If your sensitive to it you likely won’t sleep at all until the next day, modafinil is great for shift work and study etc but it’s no substitute for sleep and will often cause issues with trying to get to sleep. It’s easily abused, fell tired take one and not sleep for 20 hours, wake up even more tired due to no sleep take 1 and it’s not enough so have another a couple hours later and then not sleep until the next morning etc….

You have been so explanatory, i think that if i Will go, i'll go Just with 100mg, and i think the best choice Is not everyday
 
I'm prescribed them from my doc. I have 200's but split them. I wake up around 5am and take my pills and shots. It's never kept me up unable to sleep.. I do get a little back pain which is a side. But yeah its no magic drug it just wakes you up.
 
It reminds me of adderall lite. I take it maybe once every 2 weeks. nothing wild.
No jitters, just amphetamine feelings.

just nice to have just in case

Love Modafinil for certain purposes (alertness/mental endurance during deadlines, tired days, etc.) Only get sides if I take it too often (more than 2x a week for me). First time I took it I didn’t sleep well at all. After this, was fine. I wouldn’t recommend taking after 12pm.
 
Modafinil, has peaked my interest at times. I like seeing the responses here, as I was wondering what sides were like, and any benefits to taking it. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I don't think you should be taking modafinil if you have insomnia. You should be taking it if you have trouble staying awake not falling asleep.

Its an interesting thread. As an ex adderall user, I have provigil but i am honestly scared to try it as a 50 year old. I have met folks that say that they tried 100mgs on M,W,F and were coming unglued with high bp by sat and gave it up in one week flat. They were heavy coffee drinkers too that did ot respect it for what that matters and how it applies. My suspicion is that its one you would have to stick with as needed and you would wind up at 1-200mgs/day in the end. I AM JUST SCARED OF BECOMMING A SLAVE TO THAt kinda SHIT AGAIN.

I have another one they gave me to try called SUNOSI or some shit like that which is hailed as an NE/DOP reuptake blocker I THINK and dont even have to balls to try that. Dont get me wrong I will try them both soon. Soon as I dare to stop drinking...

The Sunosi kinda reminds me of this shit called SAVELLA that my crazy ass now dead doc had me try once. I don't recall if that one blocked NE reuptake or increased it all together. But I do know you had to tirtrate it up slowly and it was so strong I actually had an orgasm sitting outside a car dealership waiting to pick up my ride (due to NE stimulation of prostate). I am talking just sitting there and all of the sudden having to hold a straight face.. CRAZY... That was around day 7-10 and getting near full titration if I recall. That onc scared me off even young and big nutted..... Hell I could probably actually use it now at this age...
