They are very weird and I have an appointment at a new doc I tried to get them to let me pin at home cause I have to go there and I drive alot for work so I'm gone alot and yes I am very active but I can feel when my levels go down cause I get so down and slow motionEasiest thing to do is take a 100mg a week and see if that brings any relief. Everyone responded different to TRT. I have always felt absolutely fine pinning my dose 1x a week on Monday. That's whats always worked for me.
Definitely get your doc involved. Let him/her know you don't feel well on the bi weekly dose and see if they'll allow you to pin 1x/week instead. 228ng/dl is dog shit numbers and i can definitely understand you not feeling well with test that low. Ideally you want to be 600-1000ng/dl or slightly higher if you're an active person or gym rat. Definitely get the doctor on board sir.
You going the clinic route, or medical doctor? If clinic, easy to find one who's more sensible with injection frequency. They are very weird and I have an appointment at a new doc I tried to get them to let me pin at home cause I have to go there and I drive alot for work so I'm gone alot and yes I am very active but I can feel when my levels go down cause I get so down and slow motion
In my experience I went to 2 different primary care docs and both gave me the same excuse of I can live even with low T. One of their nurses told me to go to a men's clinic, the staff there actually asked solid questions were completely open with treatment options and all around were more professional. I chalk it up to a reg doc just kind of glosses over some stuff, and a men's clinic is solely focused on men's health. Not sure the difference but it's a doctor and someone else runs the business
I wonder if the trough into the natty range is why some guys feel better on once weekly because it allows the body a couple days of normalcy to recover. Kurt Havens has been making noise about something like this with stem cells.I’ve had all kinds of doctors for trt, endocrinologists, general physicians, urologists, a4m, functional medicine, etc, and they all like to do things differently or at least they did years ago. The Endos were the worst for me and the a4m docs were the best.
I started with that 2 week protocol ~13+ years ago and it was a hormonal rollercoaster. Any doctor who prescribes this way should be made to go through this himself so he can feel first hand how awful that protocol is. Once a week should be the absolute minimum for injections, but a smaller dose every other day or three would be preferred for stability.
For me, as long as I keep my trough at 600ng/dl, I’m doing ok. For me, it means that I need to keep my dose at 180mg / week. Some guys need less and some need more to keep their trough at 600+ng/dl. Too many doctors focus on peak levels when they should be focusing on the trough, which is the low point. Also, it’s not just about a number, but how a person feels needs to be taken into account. Some guys might feel great with a lower trough and some might not, but the lowest minimum dose that improves your quality of life is what you want, whether that’s 100mg a week or double that or somewhere in between.
Every other week? Your doctor is an idiot. So my doctor has me on 200 MG every other week ... I don't agree with this my t was 68 then it went up to 220 ish after a few months ..... any advise still feel like shit and I'm thing of doing self trt lol I'm lost
If you read the package inserts for pharma test that is what they recommend. The combination of ester and oil were created to facilitate this dosing regimen.Every other week? Your doctor is an idiot.
