Donating a kidney

I am considering donating a kidney and wondering about repercussion of testosterone use after I heal. I'm 100% positive any doctor would advise against it, so I have to ask here... Does anyone know how risky it is to inject testosterone while being a living kidney donor?? Thanks in advance!

If I were in the situation I would talk to a doctor not involved. Not only about the mental and physical ramifications about organ donation, also I would ask about the hormonal changes that come with organ removal. Get a professional medical opinion on an important decision that could very seriously impact the quality of my life.

Wish you the best.

I don't think a doctor would be against it. But you really need to be even more diligent in your renal health(blood pressure, drug usage, etc)

My thoughts on doctors advising against it is because of the risk of reliable sources, harm from heavy lifting and dieting while healing. And I haven't had a primary care physician since I was in high school, I'm 37 now, so I have to get one for sure. I plan to be as transparent as I can be with everything extracurricular I do, so I'm sure I'll get a bunch of good tips from them.

Thank you for the recommendations, highly appreciated. I do a lot of boxing, BJJ, baseball and always active with the kids, so a lot of that is about to change as well, definitely getting all the info soon from doctors and such. I plan on being as transparent as I can.

Tldr, all you have to do is show up and be honest. The transplant team will do everything else.

Depending on what compounds you’ve run, the doses, and how well you’ve managed your blood pressure, there’s a good chance your kidneys are fine. What’s more, they will thoroughly evaluate your kidney health before the first incision, so you don’t need to worry whether your a good donor because they will tell you.

One thing everyone on gear should do is to stay on top of blood pressure, no matter what else they’re doing. It’s especially important for you right now because chronically elevated BP will disqualify you as a donor. Home BP machines are cheap as hell and there are so many effective BP drugs essentially everyone will find one that works with no noticeable side effects. But, honestly, reducing your salt intake is as effective as medicines and will also lighten the load for your kidneys, too. It’s a free win.

Thanks for the info! I've actually never used, I'm still gathering all the info and deciding what I want to cycle first, I have reliable deca and test sources, so I am learning all I can before I pull the trigger on anything. I am more, or less wondering about after I donate if it is safe to cycle. I really appreciate the information

Yeah, the guy is dying and has a family, and I'm a softy, so if I can help out I am going to.

I donate blood often, for the right reasons.

I'm o- when I found out they told me oh that's so awsome u can help out alot by being a donor, expecially since u have a rare blood type,

but if you ever need a organ transplant or somthing, most likely you'll never get it.

What "guy" is dying? Sounds like some random hobo. Have some standards and save your kidney for you. You sound like you hate yourself. Seriously.

It is some random guy, I have no clue who he is. I used to box and do a lot of bjj, now that I'm done with all that there really is not much risk involved, so I don't mind helping

And when you have a kidney cancer tumor in your remaining kidney, how will you feel? I know two people who ran into this problem. They felt regret.....and then they died. Ordinarily, the diseased kidney would be removed and the remaining one would work........that won't be an option for you.

When you have your own family maybe, and you wish you had that kidney to help one of your own, how will you feel? Regret.

When you develop kidney disease and need dialysis, how will you feel?

When you see the guy who you donated the kidney too, continue his bad behaviors or not be healthy, how will you feel? How will you feel when the dude is eating the buffet all day and abusing your free kidney?

It goes on and on.
