Newbie guide to insulin?

Hey don't want to ask newb questions but just trying to find like an intro to insulin usage, thanks.
Vigorous Steve has an excellent e-book. He wants 99 bucks on his website but if you look around a bit you'll find it. tbh, it's something I refer back to all the time, and it's one of the few e-books that is almost worthwhile to purchase if you can't find on the interweb

Thanks for the ebook.

So basically, only use it on a bulk.

I might try humulin (the easy otc stuff) as pre workout 5-10iu with 8-10g of carbs per iu immediately afterwards as a beginner primer, but humalog is the good stuff (and longer acting even better). I like milk so i'd drink milk during workout or as my carb source, and then have a coca cola nearby for sugar in case hypo.

Why would you drink milk?
This is a beginner insulin protocol my coach had me on.

•15min preworkout- 6iu Novolog, 35g carbs from HBCD
•Intra workout- *sip on and finish by end of workout
20g EAA,5g citrulline,4g taurine,5g glutamine, 5g creatine, 40g carbs from HBCD with at least 32oz water
•postWorkout- next meal immediately *pack with you (rice and chicken)
*on standby soda, glucose tabs and or gel
*if you feel hypo immediately begin intaking the above

How about just chugging chocolate milk during my workout? 1 quart is 100g of carbs. I drink a lot of that when I bulk, has plenty of carbs and sugar and I can tweak it to 10g per 1iu.

Is there a big difference between a humulin 10iu pre workout beginner cycle and a more advanced insulin cycle?

Insulin should not be in the protocol of any beginner bodybuilder imo.

There are many other options to exhaust before insulin is brought in.
And by that time, you probably had enough time to learn a little more about what you're getting into.

I'm definitely not a beginner bodybuilder. I'm asking for beginner insulin.

Anyways, upon further research it seems milk is not a good idea because you don't want any fats on insulin.

Thank fuck someone said it!!

You shouldn't be asking anyone for an insulin protocol..

Start by researching it it all it's forms and then you should have an idea of how to use it.. You must experiment yourself and find exactly how it works with your body.. Seen plenty dudes turn into fat mess and some stay lean it's genetical I suppose..

just to play devil's advocate for the sake of discussion

asking questions here is how a lot of guys start their research. the guy is not asking for a protocol, he's just asking how/where to start research.

right/wrong/indifferent, it doesn't really matter, because at most the guy started an interesting discussion and at least he got the answer he was looking for (someone shared with him a great ebook before it was deleted).

agree genetics are a big factor but i think insulin sensitivity (in muscle tissue) also has a lot to do with it (which would be affected by diet, training, rest/recovery, etc. etc.)

make sure you have a dextrose drink during your lift and have honey or candy in your bag so you dont die
Do you know how many people die from insulin each year....?

Its surprisingly hard to die from it.... You can certainly fall into a coma but bounce back. Pretty sure I recall a news story about someone who tried to delife themselves with a full bottle and they bounced back from it.

100% anyone messing with it should respect it! Don't be operating machinery if your not dialed in on your nutrition windows when using it. Thats the sort of thing that could kill you when using insulin.

1 of the best thing a coach did for me when I first used it was made me sit down with him after the 1st shot with some simple sugars on hand and then ride it out to experience the warning signs so I would know if they ever set in.

So the fairlife chocolate milk isn't fat free.

Anyways this is what I've come up with.

Before workout that isn't within 4 hours of bed, don't try to do this on a cut.

Inject 4iu HGH

15 minutes later inject 10iu Humulin-R /Novolin-R

Consume 100g of carbs in drink over your 1.5-2hr workout. Fat free chocolate milk, orange juice, or maybe 1.5lb of fruit for carbs. Consume 5g of creatine as well because it complements insulin.

After workout, get home and eat a lean meal with protein and carbs. 4iu of HGH at night (or whatever your hgh protocol is).

My main question now is: Do I need to take BCAAs or other things?

Thanks

It’s not overly complicated. I’ve tried novorapid pens which are the fastest acting like humalog. This is what I did-

1hr preworkout-
1-2iu gh

30min prewo-
10iu insulin
1x scoop of whey isolate
1x scoop HBCD
5g creatine
1x banana

At the start/beginning of my workout (from start to about 45 min into the workout, I’d sip on this)-

1x scoop of whey isolate
1x scoop HBCD
.5x cup of juice (apple, orange, grape, whatever)

Then post workout was simply something like white fish or ground chicken breast with white rice.
