Hard to push plunger

This happens to me sometimes, mostly in my quads.

3ml, 25g 1.5in

I'll jiggle my quad to make sure the muscle is relaxes, insert. Then sometime it's very hard to push the plunger in. Is my muscle tightening after the fact or something? Usually these injections are stiff after the fact. Same oil, same everything

How often you hit quads? Any scar tissue build up?

Pretty often but only with a 25g. There's some scar tissue, I can hear it sometimes. Should I pin with a deeper needle so I can pass the scar tissue?

I only do delts and quads. Occasionally I'll talk someone into pinning my glute.

I can't do my ventroglute because every time I do, I go into fat or I pin it into the wrong muscle. It's a very confusing location for me, even though I've looked up diagrams.

Maybe I'll post a pic of my side and someone can definitively tell me

VG is easy you just have to make it pop… place for foot on the ground and turn your foot like getting ready to squat, it pops out…. Pic would work

You have your whole quad if needed, no idea how you have that much scar tissue, how many years have you been pinning?

1.5” is likely too deep and you are getting in the tendon/connective sheath area. You only need 1/2” for quads unless over weight substantially.

Very common mistake people make is too long a needle. They do more damage by far and create significant issues. Quads are a prime example of this due to muscle sheathing.

My personal experience over 20 years of injecting tells me the total opposite - deeper is better.

I have never gone shorter than 1’ (usually 1.25’) & have only really ever used delts & quads. I’ve never had any problems from doing this & very very rarely suffer any PIP. I also have no symptoms of scar tissue development - I put this down to using 23g & 25g & larger volume syringes (ie not 1ml) & thus the oil is injected under far less pressure.

All of the above flies totally in the face of what is currently recommended on forums,
but I constantly see others with far less experience talking about problems when I’ve had none ….

This is my experience too. 1"-1.5" is perfect depending on muscle. Glutes VG take the longer ones, delts quads pecs the 1". No significant scar tissue, no pip. When I am down to trt and use 1ml syringes I go slow.

I said in another thread that either go DEEP IM and stop being a pussy or suffer the pip and swelling from shallow or even worse sq injections. I do understand it's the latest fad, but still retarded.

heat up water in microwave about 80 seconds load syringe and screw needle on as tight as you can, put cap on drop in the hot water for a minute or two and inject in the softest spot you can find. im limited in where i can inject because i cant do with my left hand and only do a certain area but this usually works for me.

I heat my vials on a baby bottle warmer. I always do that

Yeah, I've always had that problem with quads... To the point I don't shoot in quads at all. Always figured it was just a muscle density issue in that 1 muscle as I have zero issues anywhere else

Here's a pic

Haha now you're talking. I've had lumps like that in the past. Usually they resolve on their own but now I use a TimTam (hand held deep tissue massager) and pin almost exclusively quads. No more lumps ime

1' is fine if you have low body fat, otherwise 1.5' might be more appropriate.

And if it's still too slow for you, try 23 gauge. I never had a problem with scar tissue or soreness doing this and it's always an easier injection.
