I suspect this is where our ideologies likely diverge in the sense that I place less importance on fiscal conservatism than you seem to.
If that's true, then at the very least it's an ideologically consistent position that would merit a much lengthier argument and likely a bottle of good booze.
The money supply is one variable that influences inflation and certainly was one of the factors directly responsible for the post-COVID inflation.
Sometimes it doesn't, but again, that's a lengthier discussion.
