There won't be any "backing down" to allow that again. Thats just self interested wishful thinking fueled by partisan delusion.
I think you're upset I pointed out an actual flaw in someone you obviously like. If you detach yourself from emotion, and look at the track record, one is a big-mouth bully... the other, the real deal.Trump v Xi... my moneys on Xi... Trump will back down... but, he'll "say" and claim a win.
It's going to get tighter, not looser from here. Any hole that's discovered will be brief and get slammed shut.
This is still a good speculation, based on the previous legislation and executive orders. But, NONE has been implemented. What's the hold-up?
AAS will get in, just like fentanyl will get in. Both will be more difficult to smuggle. One is already hugely profitable for small amounts, the other is barely worth the effort and will have to become more expensive.
Only if the "speculation" actually materializes.
$35 kits of test and $200 kits of Primo 200 from China shipped to your door are never coming back.
"[N]ever coming back." That's saying a lot, considering it's been 6 months since Biden's De Minimus Order, and the only thing slowing flow has been from China's end.
It's more likely 6 months from now as domestic suppliers find it increasingly difficult to replenish raws, the "Olympics" never end, and it becomes obvious "normal" is not coming back, there will be people saying "I wish I bought in February when shit was so much cheaper."
So, 6 more months from the previous 6 months? 12 months. Okay... do you hear yourself here?
Relying on Congress, or a President, is like relying on cheating partner to "change their ways."
It sounds like the girlfriend who's boyfriend keeps telling her that he won't cheat anymore. But, he's going to keep cheating, because that's what he does and what he's always done... even before her, and after. It's what "he" does. It's what politicians do.
Don't take this the wrong way brother... I'm just really cynical about these matters. I wouldn't risk not stocking up, and there is a multitude of reasons to do so. But, at the same time, I wouldn't buy-in 100% that the flow of AAS will stop or be stemmed in a dramatic fashion.
