anavar and water weight

Asking for a friend. He 48 and is on 125mg test TRT and added 25mg Anavar, within a week he was up 8lbs. What would be the reason for rapid weight gain when diet and training has gone unchanged?

It could be also test depending on how long he's been on it. Reason I say that, I started 125mg, same as your friend, around a month and. First two weeks barely any chance in weight, last week I gained 3 lbs and now I'm projected to gain 5 lbs. My diet has improved (still at a small deficit) and my workout hasn't changed, expert for improvements in weights.

I'm leaner then before, 13%bf -> 11%, and my muscles feel fuller, so very little bloating if any. Overall, as mentioned, it's glycogen storage from both.

He has been on TRT for 2 years, he wanted to run anavar as he read it was a dry compound he is at maintenance calories and just looking for a little kick to his try. Seems like it could only be nitrogen storage.

Don't know for sure, but whenever I use anavar I feel bigger and stronger, but not bloated like on dbol. I also find it harder to lose weight, but not fat of course.

Sure it doesn't pack on mass, but there is something special about it. I think it's a great steroid.

I believe creatine does add water weight so this article Type IIx wrote could help to explain it as well. In the forum thread for this article he stated 20-30mg weekly of oxandrolone is equally as effective as taking 5g creatine a day(Oxandrolone Insights: Unique Characteristics of Anabolic-Androgenic Steroids – Part 7)

"Creatine Synthesis
Oxandrolone particularly stimulates strength, ostensibly due to particularly stimulating creatine synthesis and phosphocreatine (PCr) stores, that replenish ATP for muscle contraction. [11]. [12]. Whereas 17AAs generally stimulate hypercreatinuria (excess creatine in urine), parenteral (i.m.) non-C-17-alkylated AAS do not. [12]. This is hypothesized to occur due to, (a) 17AA-induced creatine synthesis and therefore PCr stores, repleting the body’s energy source for anaerobic/glycolytic efforts like heavy lifting, and/or (b) non-C-17-alkylated (i.e., intramuscularly injected; i.m.) AAS use the pool of amino acids (e.g., glycine, arginine, methionine) that would otherwise be directed to creatine synthesis instead to cell proteins [meaning that injectable non-C-17-alkylated AAS lay down more actual skeletal muscle tissue].

Empirically, oxandrolone’s rapid effects on strength are noteworthy and must occur by a mechanism besides ligand-induced transcription (i.e., canonical AR protein synthesis) because of the short time-course. This effect often surprises men at first impression given oxandrolone’s notoriety as a “women’s drug.” Oxandrolone’s remarkably strength-promoting belies the mythology that androgenic potency is directly related to strength, since it is an attenuated androgen."
