The iron or the uric acid?Happened to me also
I wonder now about the albumin level and if it's correlated with the uric acid...I found this also. Maybe there is a slight correlation
- Improved Insulin Sensitivity: Insulin resistance is linked to higher uric acid levels. By improving insulin sensitivity, semaglutide can help manage blood sugar levels more effectively, which may, in turn, lower uric acid levels.
I checked my last urinalysis and albumin was not checked. Only in my bloodwork. I assume yours was also measured in your bloodwork. Albuminuria is too much albumin in the urine so I am not sure if too much/too little in the blood is related.I wonder now about the albumin level and if it's correlated with the uric acid...
So maybe as I had normal albumin level telmisartan or glp1 reduced it even further bringing it low?I checked my last urinalysis and albumin was not checked. Only in my bloodwork. “Albuminuria is a pathological condition wherein the protein albumin is abnormally present in the urine. It is a type of proteinuria.”
I found a study that looked at fasting GLP-1 levels and albuminuria. They concluded that “These findings imply that endogenous GLP-1 may have a beneficial role in attenuating albuminuria.”
Fasting GLP-1 Levels and Albuminuria Are Negatively Associated in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus - PMC
Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) is an incretin hormone known for its pivotal role in enhancing insulin secretion and reducing glucagon release from the pancreas. Diabetic nephropathy, which is characterized by albuminuria, represents a significant ...pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
Another interesting note in that study was “albuminuria could be reduced by ACE inhibitors and ARBs”.
Possibly. We are all taking so many things anything is possible. But while my uric acid was low on 2/8, my albumin was normal (4.5 range 3.8-4.9). And it usually is normal. I’m also on Reta and Telmisartan. So maybe as I had normal albumin level telmisartan or glp1 reduced it even further bringing it low?
Yeah it's an headache sometime, you fix one thing another one appear and you start wondering now what?Possibly. We are all taking so many things anything is possible. Well the thread was about iron level. You measure those with ferritin. Unless it's different in America. I never checked my iron level but always ferritin. I believe it's how you check properly the iron levels isn't it?I have yet to see anyone mention ferritin which is more important to follow
LabCorp measures them separately.Well the thread was about iron level. You measure those with ferritin. Unless it's different in America. I never checked my iron level but always ferritin. I believe it's how you check properly the iron levels isn't it?
You need to bring your ferritin at least 100+ it's very important. It means 400% more than iron levelLabCorp measures them separately.
Let me see if I can do this without doxxing myself.

I’m working on it. A blood donation caused that. You need to bring your ferritin at least 100+ it's very important. It means 400% more than iron level
Iron bysiglicinate or whatever the fuck it's called will fix it with time. It takes a bit. Don't take it together with zinc but you probably knowI’m working on it. A blood donation caused that.
Close enough. bisglycinate. I’m taking it.Iron bysiglicinate or whatever the fuck it's called will fix it with time. It takes a bit. Don't take it together with zinc but you probably know

being on TRT with erythrocytosis is a balancing game. Mainly if you are symptomatic.I’m working on it. A blood donation caused that.

The are pretty routine tests. Might as well just ask for them from your GP at next check-up.Just curious but does anyone know if those at home ferritin/iron test kits work? Or just junk?
Yea i did mine before hoping on lol...The are pretty routine tests. Might as well just ask for them from your GP at next check-up.
