Anybody here had gyno surgery?

I’m in TX. Trying to find a good surgeon but also not overpay.

Had pre-existing gyno before I ever took roids it just runs in my family. Now that i’m a lot leaner I really notice it.

Definitely try to get it covered by insurance first.

Otherwise don't go for the least expensive option based on cost alone.

There could be an episode titled "Cheap gyno surgeries gone bad" and show guys with a good physique but one droopy or asymmetrical nipple etc

Nice, i’ll try that.

Ever hear of anyone getting it covered by their insurance? Most surgeons i’ve consulted with just outright say no insurance will pay for it or they don’t take insurance.

You gotta find a homie that will say it's cancer lmao, because it's viewed as a cosmetic surgery

I would go to a competent gyno surgeon. I don't care if they take insurance or not. You don't want to go to a general surgeon who takes insurance and get butchered and have to repeat it several more times. Look at Big Paul on the anabolic bodybuilding YouTube channel. That's what he went through. He's now had several revisions and it still doesn't look right. It happens to a lot of people. They try to save money up front with insurance, get butchered, and then have to do it out of pocket and try to have it repaired.

If you are in Texas the choice is easy. Dr. Caridi at the Austin gynecomastia center. He has a ton of YouTube videos of his gyno surgeries. That's who I plan to use in a few years

I've seen his videos and his before and after results look very good...although his "vaser" technique looks a little harsh to me I'm sure there is a good reason for it...I would hope other than to just increase the cost of the surgery.

I would honestly prefer to just forgo to the vaser or lipo and have the glands excised by a good surgeon.

Yep, it’s cosmetic so no one will cover it. Falls under the “not really needed” category. Sucks man.

No good doctors in Texas that I’ve seen. Read a few people had to go twice getting it done in tx. May be worth a trip to NY or Cali?

Have you heard any bad things about Dr. Caridi in Austin?

I'm sure it's optional about how far you want to go with the surgery. I don't know enough to know what's harsh technique or not. Whoever you go with let me know bc I plan to do it in a year or two myself. Austin is still a couple hours away from me but still closer than going out of state. Of course I'll go out of state to get it done right though I just don't know of any other gyno surgeon. I definitely have some loose skin on both sides of my chest under my arms from when I was a 300 lb fat ass so I'll need some work done there as well which I think dr caridi does

Yeah I hear ya man...I've been saving up my company contributions to my HSA for the surgery lol.. tbh if there are good surgeons overseas or in Mexico I'd be down to travel.

In my experience there's not as big of a difference in the quality of doctors in the US as there used to be compared to abroad....bc practically all doctors are foreign born now anyways.

I've seen his videos and he is too rough. His technique is kind of brutal. He's like ripping the glands out. I guess he is doing something right because he carved out this area for himself and people go to him, but I don't like how it looks.

You better to homework and pick someone who does a lot of gyno surgery. The surgery is worth it but there are usually defects left behind. My result changed for the worse over the years. Still happy I did it.
