AAS market for the rest of the world isn't enough to keep one small vendor alive...

Besides, you're next. 100% tariff? You guys are hardcore!

2024:
"Brilliant, bold move by the Treadeu government. Demonstrating that Canada won't be pushed around by unfair competition!"

2025:
"Trump is insane! Tariffs never work!"
Sigh. The politics of over simplification.
1) Blanket tariffs vs Item tariff on one hand,
2) Canada is allegedly a close ally. If the US calls china the enemy, canada is supposed to agree as a good bud. Pretty sure Canada did this just because the US did it. Kowtowing to the policies of their Gym bro - Big bro
I mean, didn't Canada was arrest and detain a Chinese CEO on behalf of the US at the expense of their own Chinese based citizens.

Well, now they wonder if any of this was truly worth it.
I digress..

Meanwhile:

a sign that says abandon hope all ye who enter here on it

With all what is happening, this 70% completion = 30% to nowhere.

You’re conflating targeted tariffs, which Canada was exploring and can be a useful tool when done right, with these insane blanket Trump tariffs, which are not strategic at all and completely retarded.

Canada has maintained Dairy tariffs forever because if we didn’t, American exports would collapse our industry. When used with precision and purpose tariffs aren’t a bad thing. Why would America collapse our fairly industry? Because American dairy farmers are heavily subsidized by their government.

China doesn’t subsidize Apple to make phones, and Germany doesn’t subsidize VE to make cars.

Tariffs can be useful but they need to be specific and intentful.
