Doxycyclene and topical creams usually clears it temporarily so that will disqualify most from getting it.
So after waiting months for a dermatologist appointment (there's a waiting list), then months of trying something else, if you do finally qualify, you have to pay 35% of the costs and it requires monthly blood tests.
So I can see why he'd look for an alternative.
