Thanks brother, glad to have you for the ride!
Update 21/04/2025, new weight!
I weighed in today at...waaaait for it..
A WHOOPING 78.65 KAY GEES!
I have a feeling I'll hit 80kg before the end of this week, tt's crazy how muhc weight I have put on from the slin (mostly) considering I was already on 500mg of test + 8iu HGH before I started this phase. I ended my cut at nearly 70kg (tad under) and mere weeks later I'm nearly 79kgs!
Which brings me to my next point; heart rate (first Ivabradine update)!
Reta has done a number on my heart rate (along with the added weight, of course), it's around 20+ over baseline which was high 60s/low 70s at the end of my cut, just yesterday (with Nebivolol out of my system) it was 95+ at rest, absolutely a no go for me.
I'm currently on my third dose of Ivabradine 5mg (doses twice a day, so one day and a half) and my RHR is down a whooping 15 points, sometimes 20, with ZERO fatigue. This is insane, and I'm loving it.
I'll continue to take 5mg until my RHR stabilizes and then go down to 2.5 x2 a day, see if that's too far off the mark or not.
I also decided to bump Retatrutide to 3mg (1mg MWF) a week. Hoping for better insulin sensitivity/FBG.
Today was a rest day, so mainly did some cardio and walked around 12,000 steps.
With all the added weight incline walking has become so freakin' difficult, man. My back KILLS me even at a mere 8%, I'm might have to go to the gym to do the recumbent bike because this is HARD now, and not in a good way.
Regular walking is fine, but I need to get my heart rate up for them cardio benefits, and if I actually go to the gym I prob will end up doing some abs and perhaps some stairs, too.
Some eats from today (around 3000 calories, higher fats, slightly lower protein)
First breakfast (round 300 cals, two cinnamon apple rice cakes with honey + protein bar, delicious)
Real breakfast (overnight oats with banana and honey mixed in, these are amazing, guys)
Lunch (eggs sammiches in potatoe buns with kashkaval cheese, an apple, and greek yogurt)
Oatmeal IN LOW FAT MILK INSTEAD OF SKIM MY GOD DOES IT TASTE ONE MILLION TIMES BETTER, with pecans (my favorite) and another protein bar cause' these are so good.
I'm still considering dropping down to a deficit on those rest days; part of me feels it's overkill, and another thinks it's probably absolutely great for insulin sensitivity. I feel maint is probably a good medium.
Did I say I walk 1000-1500 after every meal? Helps keep BG down.
