How to dose Deca on top of TRT for joint protection?

My knees are showing some early signs of cartilage thinning and, as I have already had a hip replacement, I'd like to do everything I possibly can to keep my joints healthy for as long as possible. I know that Deca can relieve joint pain (and presumably protect joints) as it raises the amount of synovial fluid in the joints.

With this in mind, I'd like to add in Deca on top of TRT in a sustainable way (i.e., something I can continue to use long-term without cycling on and off). Currently on 140 mg/wk of test cyp (taken sub-Q every other day) as well as 20 mg of Anavar/day, which puts my total T and estradiol at the high normal range and my free T slightly above the normal range. Been doing this for about a year and my lipids, blood pressure, and liver enzymes are all fine.

Can I just add 70 mg/wk of Deca? Should I replace some of my Test with Deca? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

To be clear, I mostly am interested in the joint-protective benefits of Deca. But, to the extent I can leverage it for additional muscle growth, all the better. Obviously, no matter what I do, I will continue to monitor lipids, blood pressure, and liver enzymes.

Just add it on and see what happens. It's a slow ester so give it at least two weeks. 100mg/week is the average dose needed for this purpose. I'm finding it affects me mentally a little too much at 100mg so I'm trying 50mg/week at the moment to see if I still get relief in my knee or not

It doesn’t prevent cartilage breakdown, it just provides temporary relief. If you want cartilage regrowth hgh is your only option. The studies on degenerative joint disease just show temporary relief with deca no structural changes
I agree that cartilage regrowth would not occur on Deca. But, the additional synovial fluid should in theory provide some protection.

I didn't know HGH can regrow cartilage. Is there clinical evidence for that?

Should I adjust the testosterone dose? Or just add in the Deca?

i added npp to my trt++ for joint relief, started at 90 mg week now up to @160 mg and besides the npp blues (Just added some Mast e) i have no complaints, now that the Mast is saturated , those blues went away, it turned into a mini cycle at this point lol , but the physique is reaping the rewards, very synergistic combo
Test c/Mast e/npp/hgh ,,

Start @100mg/week
take weekly notes, adjust up or down in 5-6 weeks depending on sides and goals.
I started with Npp because I did not know how I would react to Deca

Overall, Nandrolone has worked amazingly well on my joints.
As long as I stay under 250 the sides are manageable

On top of your TRT dose? Or does your doc reduce your testosterone dose when you add in Deca?
Yep, on top.

If you use the cheap testosterone test for bloodwork deca will artificially inflate the results. It's best to go the tandem lc/ms testosterone testing if you're on deca as well. Even 90mg a week will bring your total up about 200-300.

even with the lc/ms testosterone test my total t was through the roof, i even stayed off testosterone for 9 days before test but kept using npp, IMG_2192.webp

Your test is like 3x the top of the reference range? I know everybody reacts differently, but can you tell me what your total weekly doses are for Test c, Mast e, npp, and hgh? And, do you run those dose continuously? Or do you blast and cruise? I was hoping to do something sustainable that I don't have to cycle on and off of.

Finally, someone mentioned hgh can heal cartilage. Do you know if there is any truth to this?

people have already recommended a decent protocol that could theoretically be ran indefinitely without much worry , but monitoring bloodwork would be crucial to see how you respond to the small addition of the deca with your trt,, Good luck on your journey,,
