Buyer ordered /paid for a pack.
Vendor sent 2 packs by mistake.

IMO this is clearly the vendors error and the buyer has no obligation to pay for something they didn’t order.

Is it a vendor you have been working with for a long time? Pay full.
Else, do you foresee yourself using it in future? Pay half / 25% / 10%.

Sometimes these are not "mistakes".
Any sale is a sale no matter how it is done.

On paper? No. I pay for what I ordered.

In principle? Yes. I got what I ordered albeit in excess - I will also pay for the extras out of the goodness of my heart. Same way I will pay extra if I'm given something special on the side at a restaurant etc.

I'd agree with this. Recently I got someone else pack, had halo and stuff for cutting for prep I'd never use ever. Lab was chill about it, reship my order.

I found a buyer for the cutting stuff, sold it and sent the funds to lab... They sent me some freebies next time. Bit of a two way street BUT voluntarily.

So I vote no, should be demanded to pay. But would be nice to.

No. I ordered what I ordered and I'll happily pay for what I ordered. If you send me too much stuff, that's your mistake.

If this was regular goods I'd just ship it back, even without asking for the vendor to cover return shipping.

Businesses have margins for a reason - when I fuck up in my business day to day, I eat the mistake and learn from it. I don't expect my customers to pay for my fuck ups.

This IMO is not a black and white answer. It is a "it depends" type answer on may factors. Generally speaking, I would try to work something out which doesn't necessarly mean paying full price for the pack.

Too many factors including your relationship with the supplier, nature of the error, the order amount, finances, etc to give a black and white answer.

especially the finance part. if I were to recieve a large order multiple times it would hurt financially if i had to drop a full months salary instead of 1/2 a months salary due to a logistics mistake on the vendors part

Not exactly, but you may because of your kindness or not. It is optional not mandatory, if you feel like it then yes if not then no. This is not your mistake.

I can't word it better in english, but that's what I believe is right.

I wouldn't if that stuff didn't interest me and tell them. If it was something worthy to me I probably would pay.

What in the flying fuk are you talking about?
You’d pay 1/12th of your yearly income due to someone else’s incompetence?

The fuck is going on it here?
Thoughtful nuanced conversation?

This is a roid forum on the internet dammit! Someone tell someone to eat shit and fuck off!

Quick personal story. Had a small order of GH US dom TP. I think it was only like 5 kits. Got the package, then a few days later, got a notice that I had another package waiting. I was like hmm so I went down and it was another 5 kits.

I thought about it, not to say anything and probably nothing would have happened. However I had done business with TP for a long time and I didn't want to take the chance on that connection. I notified him and he was professional and I could tell he had delt with this type of thing many times before.

I offered to pay for the kits because 1. I could use them eventually 100%. 2. I had the funds. 3. I told him because it was his error, I would like to have the shipping charge waved and pay the 50+ kit int price or whatever the lowest possible bulk discount price he offered. He said that would be fair and so I paid him.

That was my specific circumstances and example. However others will vary.

If vendor sends two packs instead of one that’s their fault. Asking for payment would be unacceptable, I’d say just write it off as good customer service. It’s their fault in the end of the day.

Maybe take it out of the shippers paycheck if it’s that big of a deal, make sure it doesn’t happen again. Happens all the time in the real world. Keeps customers coming back. Not worth losing a customer for a few dollars
