Janoshik Analytical laboratory testing services

Hi @janoshik

Are you able to do a excipient breakdown for AAS Oils?
% breakdown of BA/BB/EO/GUAI
(1) Cost?
(2) Margin of error?

Is BA not more volatile than BB?
Why does it not appear on GCSM?

We are getting a bit overwhelmed so I might be missing social media / forum questions.

Guaiacol is only qualitative.
EO is only semi-quantiative via GCMS screening.

BA is actually *too* volatile to encompass in a screening which is supposed to show also high boiling point compounds, unfortunately.

Quote number #25043 :
-------------------------
1x BA/BB testing x 30 USD = 30 USD
1x Guaiacol in AAS oil x 15 USD = 15 USD
1x GCMS screening x 170 USD = 170 USD
-------------------------
TOTAL: 215 USD

This offer remains valid until May 31, 2025.

Just had Jano test some tc and te for me. Process was simple and laid out clearly. Their team responded to my emails quickly, they received my samples yesterday and I had results when I woke up this morning.

Thank you very much @janoshik and his team.
will you be posting the Jano test results to the Meso community? Or did i miss them? Tia

Hi @janoshik

Would like some feedback on raw purity testing.
The usual approach is to send a raw sample of min .2g for testing, and obtain a raw purity %.

I have an alternative suggested approach.
(1) Take 5 grams of raws, by sampling many different parts of raws.
(2) Fill to 10ml using 100% guaiacol, which ensures everything is dissolved.
(3) Send all 10ml for testing.

We have 10ml consisting of 5 grams of raws fully dissolved.
We have mg/ml per HPLC.
We have displacement.
We can work out purity % easily.

(1) Would this approach work?
(2) Would it be more accurate?
(3) What would you suggest is a good sample size %? 5 gr of raws out of 1kg is only 0.5%.
(4) For the margin error of 5%, do you have any suggestions on how we can narrow it down?

If you trust your scales and volume measurement, why not.

I'd expect roughly double margin of error with this approach under usual circumstances.
Good point. High quality scale and mass everything. At least it somewhat addresses sample heterogeneity if that's a thing.

Insanely much.

Detecting, IDing and quantifying *complete* unknowns is insanely expensive and difficult.

Eg. mannitol is OK, but requires us to use a completely different dilution and method, so even something as stupid adds steps into the process and additional tests, so the quantity of it gets expensive.

Now a random component of machine cleaning liquid in trace amount? Just imagine that.

Anyone got a outbound pack to Jano get lost before?

Ive got about 10 samples with no tracking updates for a week, Its pretty much lost by now and UPS has told me to file a claim. (Like what am i going to claim? lol 10 vials? of mysterious substance worth..$1?)

I'm hoping PirateShip will just refund but I havn't gone that route yet.

For incoming packs, you'd usually wait for a while and they'd turn up..but is this still the case when sending out? Its stuck somewhere in US..

I would wait it out. Could turn up. Has happened before with UPS.

did you attach a commercial invoice to the package?

did you attach a commercial invoice to the package?

Never had to for all my past shipments.
In fact, the forms that u attached for customs purposes, are actually digital transmitted for majority of the countries, implemented years ago. It's no longer required for majority of the countries, but it's just something people still do because it was done in the past.
