Giant Semaglutide Thread (and other GLP-1 / GIP agonists)

thank you very much. Is it fine if I dlute to 2ml per injection to minimize the amount lost?

You want subQ injections to be 1ml or less, for various reasons.

I was saying dilute the vial with 2ml, or preferably 3ml, so the fluid volume per injection for the dose you're using of whatever falls between .3ml and .8ml.

If you have some small dose vial, like 5mg Tirz, and the entire thing is one dose, don't use more than 1ml to reconstitute. .5ml is actually sufficient in that case, matching pharma, but the smaller the amount used to reconstitute a vial, the greater the proportion that "lost" 2 units represents. It's still pretty insignificant. At 1ml (100 units) it's 2%, at 2ml it's 1%, at 3ml 2 units "lost" is only .66% of your peptide.

thanks. I have some 5mg vials to finish before I get to the 40mg ones. I'm doing 10mg so I'd need 2 vials. I tried putting 0.5ml but it has trouble dissolving with so little bac water and if 0.2ml stay in the filter I'd loose 2mg. Can I do 1ml per 5mg and inject 1ml in 2 different spots? so I can dissolve it easier and only loose 1mg

Big thanks to @Ghoul and @CharlesV for getting me to consider using a CGM, I've been digging into it, doing some reading and research, and ended up placing a couple of orders today.

I grabbed a month's supply of Libre 2 PLUS through a third-party seller, since all I could find locally was the regular Libre 2.

Costs:
  • Libre 2 PLUS – $150/month
  • Libre 3 – $215/month
Since they're almost identical (aside from the Libre 3 being a bit smaller), I went with the 2 PLUS to save a bit and spend more on peptides .

I also stumbled on the Aidex 2 and bought some, which is only $60/month and has really solid reviews. I might even throw both on, one on each arm, for a side by side comparison gonna look completely insane.

Also grabbed some patches because I sweat like a pig.

Super excited to start tracking everything and see how reta, tirz, IGF-1 LR3, insulin, and different foods each impact me. I'm planning to fine tune my diet and protocol based on the CGM data in the coming weeks.

1ml is fine per injection. Diabetics often do it daily. It's just beyond that lumps and discomfort becomes an issue.

Also, it's not .2ml, it's .02ml. I really wouldn't worry about it with a 13mm filter. You'll lose more squirting the air bubble out of the syringe.

cool man! just don't mix the GLP1s and insulin

Glucose Management can be so interesting and there are so many ways to tweak/change and adapt things! Good luck on your journey and keep us updated!

I was using Tirzepatide and I ran out, so I began using Semaglutide. Over the last 3 weeks I have taken 7mg of Semaglutide. Now I have to switch back to Tirzepatide. And I am wondering.....what dose of Tirzepatide should I start with and when?

When I used Tirzepatide earlier, I only used around 7.5mg, but it was not very effective for me. Based on that feeling of lack of effectiveness, I thought maybe my product was maybe underdosed or weak. So I want to be careful because this is a new batch of Tirzepatide. I want to transition from the Semaglutide and have it go smoothly. Any thoughts on this? I am really enjoying the effect of the Semaglutide I am currently on, so I want to kind of keep that going. So I don't want to start at baby doses of Tirzepatide, but I also don't want to put myself in a bad position where I am feeling terrible by taking too much initially.

That's a very. very high dose of Sema. Triple the pharma max dose that works for 97%+, well into non-responder type doses.

If that's what it takes to get a response and works well as you say, I'm not sure any reasonable amount of Tirz will be effective TBH. I would order more Sema from a quick delivering source and stick with what works, not roll the dice for. convenience or savings.

But Semaglutide has a long half life and builds up, correct? So in essence, I have taken the maximum 2.4mg recommended Semaglutide around 3 times. Is that so crazy? I don't think so.

Ok, just a second. You took 7mg *cumulative* in 3 weeks?

We typically talk about weekly doses, not cumulative.

If you were using around 2mg of Sema a week, 7.5mg is a reasonable place to start. 10mg is likely closer to where you'll get a good response, but usually best to slightly undershoot to avoid too potent of a dose.

You're GLP experienced so it won't kill you if you feel adventurous and go straight to 10, just eat carefully (lightly) and be prepared for possible GI sides.

Day 2 of sema. I don't imagine I'll be providing daily updates but it is interesting to document my first few days and other things that come to mind.

The hunger was still not there after not eating for 2 and a half days, but I did noticed I could feel how empty my stomach was a bit more than yesterday. I still decided to break the fast, mostly to see how I react to food. I made ramen soup and ate a bit of jello. The amount is pretty much half of what I would usually eat to feel "satisfied" (one pack of ramen instead of the usual two, and one of the little prepacked plastic cups of jello as opposed to 2), and after finishing the meal I felt closer to "full" than "satisfied", so that's great. For the most part no nasty GI side effects, which means I'm starting to confirm my suspicions that most of the side effects people experience are more associated with how much they're eating rather than being innate to the drug itself. Only thing noticeable was more burps, which given I already have acid reflux it's not too out of the ordinary, and curiously enough they "tasted" more like the food than they usually do - probably the delayed gastric emptying.

What's interesting is how the food itself tasted. Like the proper fatass that I am I tend to season my food heavily, and yet the food tasted so much more bland than usual. It wasn't a "bad" kind of bland, however. It's hard to describe, but there's eating stuff that tastes bland or underseasoned (think unsalted white rice with nothing else on it), and then there's this feeling, which I would describe to be more along the lines of "all my life the food dial has been turned up to the max and eating now feels like how it's supposed to". I did somewhat expect this to happen as I've read it being experienced by many other users, but how I'm experiencing it is nothing like what I thought - it's better

This drug is also making me come face to face with how many times throughout a day I ate just out of boredom. That hasn't happened neither yesterday nor today, but instead of the food cravings I just feel the straight boredom. At least feeling it this clear allows me to handle it in a healthier manner.

As well as that, I noticed there wasn't the usual sleepiness after eating, even tho the meal was basically a carb bomb (maybe not so much anymore, considering the reduced volume)

Something else of interest is that it also seems to be hindering my desire to drink a good bit, but the effect isn't as noticeable with the desire to smoke, although it's still toned down a bit. It's also "easier to say no", if that makes sense. Again, this much I saw reported by other users and I somewhat expected, but once again I did not expect to feel the effects this quickly. I don't wanna call this a miracle drug, but man, it's sure as shit close to one lol

I might try to go out today and see how these desires feel in my usual drinking spot. I might regret it... but I gotta do it for science lmao

Great write up man. Please keep going as your "What it feels like to be normal" journey continues.

Which GLP-1 should I choose for leaning out? 5'11" 190 lbs, fair bit of muscle I'd like too keep, probably around 14-16% body fat. Workout 4x a week, no other health concerns and only using HGH 3 units a day.

I'm at 4 weeks of Tirz, injection last night titrated up from base 2.5mg to 5mg. Also a source change from Beligas to Lobster. Still fighting off hunger today which is surprising. Mostly feel full though so maybe it's more mental.

Had a good weight drop this week (4 pounds) but I think that was mostly something else. Got labs and my e2 was double the top of range (84). Took some arimedex and I think dropped some water.

Although I imagine that I already don't realize how much it is actually helping with food noise and cravings. I imagine that I would be much more fussed about it without the glp1.

Once you increase the dose.......you start to lose any desire for alcohol, and even sex. I imagine it is the same for smoking. You can live like a monk on Semaglutide. You end up just eating because you think you probably should eat. And you just always eat less than you would and don't get hungry again.

I wasn't a fan of the sex drive removal. On Tirzepatide, I did not have that problem but I may have also been dosing too low.
