I had both tests done at the same time just out of curiosity. The non-sensitive test had me in range for an adult female (albeit the very low end of the scale) while the sensitive test showed that it was a more pressing issue (well below range.)I know that the sensitive testing method is prefered, but I live in a place where there aren’t many labs, and the one I go to doesn’t offer the sensitive testing method.
My e2 was 25 when I did a blood test pre cycle, test was 650. So seemed pretty accurate.
ECLIA is better suited for women who have higher estradiol concentrations. A man could take that test and have 36, but take the sensitive and have a 10. Things like CRP cause interference on the ECLIA and provide inaccurate results.,I know that the sensitive testing method is prefered, but I live in a place where there aren’t many labs, and the one I go to doesn’t offer the sensitive testing method.
