Hi I'm Zelle F18,
I joined cause I've been needing a place to talk about peptides. I started them not too long ago, like around June, trying to find a way to lose weight since fat just refuses to let go of me despite my excessive exercise, but so far I've lost 27 pounds, which is my lowest weight in a long time. I tried Reddit and Discord, although they just don't work for me, so I'm hoping to learn as much as I can here. Currently, I'm on Retatrutide, Tesamorelin, GHK-CU, and SS-31, although I am open to adding more. Can't wait to meet you all :)

Welcome. Thing that always gets me is dropping what your running to lose weight but never much about the type of workout and diet you got going on. Take all the peptides you want they might eventually get you there but when you stop and gong know to eat clean and exercise with the correct intensity you’ll be right back where you are. What’s your stats btw?

since fat just refuses to let go of me despite my excessive exercise,
Cant exercise yourself out of a bad diet. Calorie deficit. End of. Zero other answers.

Why?

You don't need drugs to loose weight. Just calculate your maintenance macros accurately, and eat less than that every day. Weigh your food. Track your calories in an app.

Humans have lost weight for a very very long time without drugs. You can do it too. Don't be a drug user at 18. Get healthy.

Don’t be afraid to chat with us in here. We can be blunt but mean well. There’s ladies in here too.

Can you tell us what you mean by excessive exercise? And what's you food intake and calorie count currently?

Hi! Sorry I didn't think to include that. My current stats are 5'2 209 I know it's pretty bad. For exercise 3 times a week, I walk 30 minutes before doing weight training, then walk 3 miles. I also 3 days a week have dance classes that last 2 hours. For food I am in a calorie deficet I eat no more than 1500 during the week, breakfast usually being overnight oats then dinner and lunch being meal prepped fish with rice mushrooms and spinach I also have that same meal for lunch weekends tho I do eat more freely, but don't go over 2,200 cals. This is how I orginally started losing weight before peptides.

I started using them honestly because of what I saw it doing for other people. I was losing weight, before starting anything, but after a while, it just seemed like barely anything was coming off for what I was doing so I thought to start glp 1s to help a bit.

You can directly control that . It is within your power. ACCURATLEY calculate your daily maintenance calories, determine a deficit, and stay in it. It is literally that simple. There is no mystery or magic to it.

I like an app called "MyNetDiary". It will help you calculate your daily calorie needs. You can scan the barcodes of foods and it will import the nutrient information. All you have to do is tell it how many grams you ate of each food and it will tally all of it for you.

We really need to start with determining your daily maintenance calories. Without that, we are just guessing at the rest.

It has to be accurate. How tall are you and how much do you weigh.

They do work if they are actually legit. But what you doing is overboard. So how long did you try this diet and exercise before jumping in glp-1?

She's 5'2" 209 lbs.

Are you weighing your food on a food scale and tracking the macros in an app? This is very important. Otherwise we are just guessing. We have to weigh our food and calculate the calories and macros.

but don't go over 2,200 cals.
2,200 is about your daily maintenance, so if you are eating 2,200 calories on weekends (friday, saturday sunday?), then you are only maintaining your deficit for 4 days out of the week. This alone can be a huge contributing factor,

I tried since October of last year, it just takes me a very long time to lose weight not sure why.

Yes I use a food scale, and I use the myfitnesspal app. For the calories my weekends are just Saturdays, and Sunday rest of the week I’m on a deficit.

5 foot 2, maintenance cals at 2200, eating 1500 4 days a week, effectively 2800 calories deficit per week. that seems about on track with your current progress.
Slow but steady. if you are really bothered by the current pace of your weight loss, keep the deficit for 1 or 2 more days per week. ideally all 7, but it might be easier to work your way up there bit by bit.
Realistically, you just have to wait it out. stay in the deficit for a year, and the changes will be night and day. another year, and you will be at your goal weight (140-150ish, if we assume the current rate of progress)

Is there a reason you aren't resistance training? It might make a huge difference for you. The metabolic benefits are numerous.

You mentioned that you go for walks, which is great, but we need to define what is activity, and what is exercise. Walking is activity. It's just part of our daily function as a human. Exercise is when we are .... well..... exercising our body beyond what is a normal daily activity.

We want to keep activity high

And we want to keep exercise high

Incorporating resistance training would be a great way to do that.

Also, keep in mind the difference between scale weight and bodyfat. The scale represents all the mass of our body, and all the water the tissues hold. If you are eating full calories on the weekend, you are likely holding a lot of water from the increased carbohydrate intake.

I probably will add 7 days, thank you for the insight tho I definitely think I lack patience gonna have to work on that too. I want to atleast get to 160 ideally so I’m not too thin for my liking.
