New dude bro here, ready to lurk.

New member here to read and learn all I can. Most of what I need to know has already been asked and I don't mind digging for it. Until I can come up with something unique or specific, I will lurk.

38, 5' 6", 165lbs.

I started at 270lbs almost a year and a half ago. Hit the gym (hired a trainer), and relentlessly tracked/logged my nutrition since then. I eat insanely consistently and clean and enjoy the shit out of it.

I'm trying to shed off the last bit of fat before spring. Currently eating 1700 calories a day (185 grams of protein, 35ish fat, 140ish carbs). I ate at maintenance for 2 weeks last month, and will again in a few weeks due to plateauing every couple months.

I lift 5 days a week(once with a trainer) and do cardio as much as my energy levels allow (2-3 times a week typically).

Went to a clinic 6 months ago and got on 200mg per week of test. Have been enjoying all the noob gains from that and just trying to dial in how my body reacts and how to keep my e2 under control. I seem to be a bit sensitive(mentally) to high e2 and am still aromatizing fairly heavily since my body fat is likely in the 15-18% range.

Started retatrutide a month ago, which has been a game changer so far, mentally at least. Going to start HGH in a few days at 2IU and slowly taper up to 4-6IU depending on how my body reacts.

It's been really fun dialing everything in and seeing it all come together. Can't get enough of it.

I'm planning on running my first cycle this coming spring into the summer. My goal is to have my body fat near 10% by then and have no e2 swings or stability issues. Thinking 500 test and potentially primo if I'm still aromatizing more than others, but I still have time and research to do.

Anyway, thanks for the forum and all the veteran members keeping the knowledge and posts flowing. If you have any advice for a noob, I'm all ears

Welcome. New hear also. Also 5'6" 165 and 140mg/week TRT. Playing around with the same idea except maybe 300-400mg to see how things react.

Great intro. Your story is very similar to mine. Started 5'9" at 260 (fat fuck, no clue bf%) then cardio/reta'd down to 182, now up to 210 lean. Congrats on the progress, it's life changing. Welcome to meso.

do not use fucking hgh for fat loss holy crap ,every time, where are fatties hearing this
I've read it can help with nutrition partioning, but I'm mainly just looking for the potential healing/growing or sleep benefits.

Admittedly, it might not be the best time to introduce it into my protocol though.

you are 38, have you had your igf1 tested?
healing what?
growing what?
sleep benefits? take hgh for sleep? what

at best a waste of time, at worst acromegoly and worse BG

Yes, multiple times, my last test showed 169ng/ml. Not terrible but not the best from what I've read.

Healing/growing muscle and connective tissue from lifting. Isn't that what hgh is for? To stimulate the liver to produce more igf1 which promotes protein synthesis and muscle growth?

The sleep thing may be anecdotal but I've seen lots of users report better sleep when dosing at night.

If it doesn't do any of that, then what are people using it for? I'm genuinely asking. Appreciate your time.

do you have injuries?
all the things you listed are not reasons to take HGH, I dont think any regular dude in his 30s just on TRT that started working out a year ago should be on HGH.
HGH is for dudes in their late 40s and guys competing, guys who have been beating themselves up for decades with iron
you can do whatever you want but HGH isnt just some harmless fun peptide everyone should take

Yes, I sure do, ones that effect me in everyday life as well as in the gym. Rather than list out my booboo list I'll just say that being 270 lbs at 5' 6" and working blue collar for over two decades isn't exactly great for your body.

Point completely taken though. I will put it on the back burner and continue to research. Thanks for the input.

It will also help with skin elasticity as you lose weight. Nothing wrong with some low dose HGH during a fat loss phase. It is an expensive fat burner but if you can afford it, rock on. You're not going to get acromegaly from 2-4 IUs/day.

See, I've read similar things. There's tons of info about it and experiences in the hgh/peptide forum on here, but then I see people come in and completely reject/discount it's effectiveness at low doses or for non competitive bodybuilders.

My intention was to start at 2iu and work my way up to 4-6 and stay there.

Could be a lot of reasons for this but I think the biggest one is that you don't see instant results from GH use so it gets discounted as doing more harm than good. The real benefits of GH occur over years of consistent use.
