For the ordinary person, I’m not sure there’s a more misleading term in analytical chemistry than “purity”.

The gap between the ordinary meaning and the technical meaning is enormous. It could literally contain 0% of the substance you think you’re getting, and have a 99.99% HPLC purity result.

Also , by doing visual inspection, 90% of all vials i received have weird discolorated spots on the bottom of the powder puck. Anyone any ideas or experience? One in picture is normal as it should be, for comparsion, and second one is with spots.

You're right, no vacuum had better purity

No vacuum + no fridge was the lowest purity

purity was 96-97% in all 4 samples, they were the same

Well not ‘0% of the substance that you think you are getting’ but the fact that just because it says 99.9% or whatever that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have other junk in it.

Vicky (rep from which i made order) told that these discolored dots is normal.Yura didn't answer.

P.S.
About vacuum - mixed two more vials, those had vacuum. So i had just bad luck to choose one from 30pcs without vacuum, and interpreted all of them will be like that.

There is a post on reddit regarding this. Cant find it though. They explained to why that happens but cant remember. Try the AI tool in reddit to search for the post. Consensus was to not worry.

Just an update for some of the UK people ordering. Theres a few of us that have ordered around the 10th September that the packages haven't made it into the royal mail system yet. We are being told the plane landed a week or so ago but due to UK customs security being increased so they dont want to try and put them through yet.

Just a heads up for anyone from the UK that has or is about to order. It seems packets are landing smoothly in other locations.
