Did you not vent the cartridge? I’ve never had this happen and I’ve filled too many pen cartridges to count.

Not using a vent needle when trying to fill. Pressure pushes the butt plug out the back.
I was pushing 1ml, letting air come back into syringe, pushing, letting air. Just use the vent needle

That’s unfortunate. If you don’t already have them, I got 100 30g 1/2” needles on Amazon for $7. I wouldn’t use them for injections, but they’re perfect for this purpose.

I like them because the high iu value and quality but I like them all tbh but going to run mainly golds and the optitripin greys this coming year
