I'm an old dog, but my old age is coming with new tricks! So my blasts forever now have been Test/Deca. I recently decided to try EQ for the first time in...ohhh, 15 years?? I don't recall any issues with it then, but boys, the old EQ anxiety hit me HARD this go around. I was a bit skeptical of it's antiestrogenic properties, so I kept my normal dose of Aromasin in. I suspect my E2 is crashed, but in my area the ultra sensitive test takes two weeks to get back. But I also think I just respond VERY poorly to EQ. My question to everyone is - Has anyone started out with EQ anxiety that then morphed into more of a deep brain fog? I'm finding my thinking to be a bit slow, with a bit of word searching. Input is appreciated!
Honestly, what are you really expecting out of EQ here? Besides a complimentary anxiety package and a side of brain fog.
EQ can be a good compound, but it doesn’t even start doing anything interesting until week 7+ for most people. Cardio feels easier, veins pop a bit more, appetite usually goes up. That’s the highlight reel.
The problem is exactly what you’re describing. EQ can absolutely nuke e2, especially if you’re still running Aromasin on top of it. For me, even a 1:1 test to EQ ratio puts my e2 scraping the lower limit. Add an AI and you’re basically speed-running anxiety, brain fog, word-searching, and that “why am I staring at the wall?” feeling.
Hematocrit is the other fun surprise. Not everyone gets hit, but a lot of people do. Last time I ran 500 mg EQ my hematocrit jumped to 58%, had to donate, and my ferritin ended up underground. Around weeks 10-11 I also got that same foggy head and weird pressure sensation, even though BP itself was fine.
In your age range, I honestly don’t think EQ is the smartest choice unless you already know you tolerate it well. If anxiety smacks you early, that’s usually your answer. If you’re running EQ 1:1 with test, I’d definitely drop the EQ lower rather than matching it.
Personally, I said goodbye to EQ and stick with test, mast, primo, and occasionally a little tren when I feel like making questionable life choices. Ment is reserved for the full midlife crisis phase.
If I were you, I’d pull the AI, reassess EQ entirely, and see if your head clears. This reads way more like crushed E2 and poor EQ tolerance than anything mysterious.
