Did you come from Redit?
yeah yeah. i know its embarrassing to be wrong, look it up, get that confirmed, and then feel the need to defend your honor. but its okay man, i didn't think any less of you, and no one will unless you continue.

ment and tren are both "synthetic" (in the way you described) derivatives of the endogenous androgen nandrolone.

Akshually they are progestins.

But I won't stoop to your level. Read my original comment in the spirit it was intended. Nandralone for all intents and purposes is synthetic in this case because there is no measurable level of it in the human body.

It also being a progestin shuts down natural production for longer. This is a harm reduction board.

My advice was to reduce harm on this young gentlemans gonads. Thanks for the correction.

i appreciate your temperance and desire to reduce harm through nuance and spirit!

many people like you (and me) exist that think if the body already makes it, and we just add to it, or supplement it, that its safer than some more foreign or "synthetic" actor.

when i found out nandrolone was bioidentical and a common addon to "trt+" in small doses for things like "joint lubrication," or "mental sharpness," I was halfway down the road to trying it myself. granted i was being sold a bill of goods by a content creator on youtube, but the fact remains i DID for a time believe it was one of the "safer-use" compounds.

that was the spirit in which my correction was intended. it is not as synthetic as the other two you listed alongside it, but according to you and many others, it is not as "safe" as testosterone or gh.

i meant it that i didnt think any less of you, nor was i attempting to be the guy in the meme. i just thought it a personally relevant note.

lowest common denominators and all that (speaking from experience, again)

unless you are a pregnant woman, your nandrolone levels are only detectable with extremely sensitive tests. barely even a full mg of it produced throughout your entire body in a full week.

My main concern is losing fertility. Not planning on kids anytime soon at all, I just don't want to take a risk of my nuts not working later on when I'm like 35. I'm aware I need FSH to truly maintain full fertility while on testosterone, but it's too expensive to use all year long.

Welcome. Maybe you could get some sperm frozen for later in life.

See if this program operates in your area?

It's an intake for drug trials to treat elevated lpa but masked as a community service.

If they test you and your results are elevated, someone will contact you about a drug trial that may or may not help you.

Not in my area unfortunately. I did look up that MRNA trial when I learned my Lip(a) was pretty high. I'll keep tabs on it. Would be pretty cool for that to pass and get prescribed if it's worth it.

I do have a question, do you guys tell your personal doctors you're taking PED's?

Obviously if you're getting surgery done or something I would bring it up. But I'm just thinking of any downsides that can come of mentioning that like insurance or something.

I know for example, getting a new life insurance policy, they can pull up medical records and potentially see that noted down. What are the downsides of bringing it up?

I mentioned to my surgeon that I was on gear and he didn't seem to care. He just said come off before the operation. He was more concerned I'd tear a pec like one of his patients had.

As for a primary care doctor/GP it never came up so I didn't say. If pressed I would just say TRT.

I do personally. But acquiring health insurance for me is not a concern.

I didn't originally, but after establishing a good relationship and feeling my DR out. I brought it up. He and I were speaking one day just about general things and how masculinity is diminishing. That opened the door, come to find out he is a huge supporter of hormone therapies to include enhancement.

I got lucky for the last few years, and unfortunately he's moving in a different direction with his practice. So the search will be on. I'm going to try calling them and seeing how they respond before ever going in person.
