HGH and Insulin resistance

I’ve had insulin resistance issues in the past (acanthosis nigricans) and although my diet and lifestyle has been solid over the last 4 months I’m thinking of incorporating HGH for sleep, recovery, visceral fat reduction, and its modest anti aging effects.

My blood work relevant to HGH/insulin:

A1C is 5.3, my FBG is 84, and my IGF-1 is 179. E2 is 50 on the dot which I’m comfortable with.

I’m currently on 6mg of Reta, 150mg of Test C (my natty test was 271 so I was prescribed TRT) and I’m also been taking a statin for when I previously had high cholesterol 4 months ago.

I’ve lost 59 pounds in 4 months and I’m currently at 271lbs at 6’. 25 years old.

I’m looking for advice from much more experienced users here as to whether it would be a good idea to incorporate 2-4iu HGH at this point due to my past history of insulin resistance. And if so, supplements that could help. My acanthosis nigricans has not gone away yet which has me concerned that despite my numbers I’m still insulin insensitive.

The last week I’ve logged my FBG every morning and it’s around 86-91 every day.

Your numbers actually look good for someone with past IR history , HGH can briefly worsen insulin sensitivity , but at a low dose of 1-2 IU it's usually manageable, especially with your current weight loss and labs, I'd start with 1 IU pre-bed, and assess Fbg for 2 to 3 weeks, then consider moving to 2 ius. And as far as helpful supports you could incorporate berberine or metformin, adequate magnesium, daily walking post meals, and keeping carbs earlier in the day, if FBG starts creeping up into the mid 90s consistently , back off or discontinue. The Acanthosis lagging behind labs isn't uncommon, it's often the last thing to resolve. I hope this helps , maybe some others with some better answers can chime in, good luck on your journey.

Thanks for your input.

Even before I started my weight loss journey, my a1c and FBG were all in normal ranges (despite being morbidly obese at 320lbs) yet I showed classic insulin resistance symptoms (AN, high cholesterol, fatty liver, high bilirubin, sugar cravings, thirst and hunger even after large meals). Obviously it’s a lot more complex when it comes to IR.

Metformin is something I might incorporate regardless of HGH for sure.

At least you have a baseline IGF1, which honestly isn't so bad for being NATTY off growth hormone, not sure if you're gonna get a major increase in IGF-I from the initial phase of 1-2 ius , but if you can afford it? I honestly believe that your age you might wanna hold off a few more years honestly but do what you think you want to. at least follow my advice and start off like I suggested and keep track of your FBG for 2 to 3 weeks
