This was very good you listen to this and you will go out and buy Iodine we all need to take about 12.5 mgs of Iodoral a day.

HAN - do you think the iodine supplements are helping or hurting how you feel? I've been taking 50mg/day for a few weeks and haven't noticed much difference either way.
One patient from Germany informed me that there is government-directed iodination of practically every food which can be processed, including milk. And with this has come an explosion of Hashimotos the last 20 years!
I have some Kelp and I put it on my eggs and salad just doing this maybe 2 times a week it's some powerful stuff. I makes me feel light headed. Now I find out it's not the same as doing 12.5 mgs a day of Iodoral. The Japanese get a 50mgs of Iodine in there diet so I can't see how doing 12.5mgs can hurt. We are here suffering from low T and now I find out if we are low on idoine the hormores will not work as good. So I am going to try this and see how it goes. But first I need to get my Iron levels back up.
roger on iron as well mines at 48 but e2 can screw with it as well !
I only had my Ferritin tested I am going in next week been on Iron pill 4 weeks now and need to know what tests to get done other then Ferritin. I am taking this 2 pills a day.
Ferrous Fumarate 324 mg | Cypress | Walgreens Some of the women at STTM said they were on this for 3 months and there Iron only came up a little My Ferritin was 18 bottom of range is 20.
Good buddy
check transferritin, ceruoplasm - these protein bonds all escort iron in the body
CBC
folate
iron saturation %
make sure you are taking iron away from other minerals zinc, copper, calcium it binds with them, plus also fiber scrwes things up too
Your RBC and other iorn indicators will not drop untill you are in severe defieincy for a long ass time.
so basicsally you are iron deficient, but do not have anemia

Along with my low Ferritin my.
White Blood Cell Count was 7.0 range 3.8 to 10.8 Thousand /uL
Red Blood Cell Count was 5.42 range 4.20 to 5.80 Million/uL
Heboglobin was 14.2 range 13.2 to 17.1 g/uL
Hematocrit was 44.0 range 38.5 to 50%
MCH was 26.2 low range 27.0 to 33.0 pg
MCV was 81.1 range 80.9 to 100.0 pg
MCHC was 32.3 range 32.0 to 36 g/dL
RDW was 18.5 high range 11.0 to 15.0%
The women at the thyroid site said to have this testing done.
Serum Iron, Transferrin Saturation (also called iron saturation or % Saturation), TIBC (Total Iron Binding Capacity).
They also said "Your tests actually look normal (heard that before?) The MCV is at the low end, which means you have small sized red blood cells, which is caused by iron deficiency. The MCH is Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin..and goes along with the low MCV. I believe some iron will correct all of these."
So how bad am I.
I will ask for.
Serum Iron
Transferrin Saturatrion
TIBC
Ferritin
Ceruoplasm
Iron Saturation %
you mioght find this intesting
When they tried to correct goiter that was not responding to iodine they had to add in vitamin A and iron then it finally reduced in size LOL
were you giving me a link it's not there but do tell me is my iron real bad the women are saying test in 3 months that there Iron hardly moved up after 3 months.
You need to increase vitamin C when you take , it increases the absorption, plus estrogen interfers and also depeltes ferritin or from iron uptake in digestive tract.
