I need some serious help (long rant)

Sorry guys for the rant I'm about to do but I've had enough with my own coach and most people in the health world.

First off, I'm 30 years old and at 300lbs and at a 180 lbm, so yes, I'm very obese. Problem is, everything in the fitness world seems to be a contraction depending on who you talk to so this is why I came and joined this forum, because people who uses gears do not have pencil neck and do not look like a celery stick. So here's my problem, I used to train a lot in my early 20s but at that time I didn't know anything about a good workout nutrition and was 13% at 180. Now that's a very low lbm in my case. I'm an endo-mesomorph. I gain muscle and I gain fat at an alarming rate.

First, at my former gym, there's was a coach which was rumored to be a user and I talk to him personally back in 02 I think and he started talking about using synthroid as a metabolic booster, At the time, I knew nothing about steroids, GH and all those products. So I thought to myself "Man he's nuts, my thyroid gland will be all messed up".

Fast foward to an overweight me and April 05, I did one cycle of creatine to check out if it did work and I had nothing but awesome results with a program that Isatori made available online. I had a lot of backlash from some people afterwards about using online programs and such but with it, I bulk like crazy and raise my bench up 50 pounds in 3 weeks, My upper body was getting huge and fast, exactly what I wanted. However, this girl working at GNC told me that I shouldn't be on creatine more than 3 weeks and so, being dumb, I took the bait and lay off of it, Creatine made me feel great and I love the pumps, I still remember going into the gym one day with a loose t-shirt and coming out with my shirt barely fitting my arms. It was just great, I'm sure most of you can relate to that feeling. But for some reason I layed off the gym.

So recently, I decided to get my s*** together and start going back to the gym. To help motivate me, I hired a trainer (mistake #1) thinking I was going to get a guy who would be willing to go boderline like the former trainer I knew (who btw did not worked in a gym anymore). Problem is, he looks like a twig. Basically 6'3" 160-170 frame if you know what I mean. And it's all about being healthy training (if you know what I mean), So at the time, I said, what the heck, I'll do it. Absolutely hated his first program which was nothing more than a small back to the gym 15-20 reps thingy but I understood why I had to do it being away for so long. So I stuck with it, After that, he designed a progam which I, once again, absolutely hated and that brought me to see the manager (another skinny dude). I wanted my money back, but the gym policy was that I couldnt get a refund after 10% of my initial starting date. So I worked out something with the trainer and he finally design me a creatine program. I bulked but not nowhere as much as before, and worst of all he put me on a high carb diet. 70-20-10 to be exact, which I found ridiculous considering the fact that I'm an endomorph, carbs do affect me. This ain't helping. Anyway, once again, I swallowed my pride and did the diet and the training. I got some results but oddly enough, I had a cold which took me out for two weeks and another pulmonary infection who took me out another 2 weeks. I'm really starting to think that they are psychosomatic because it might be my unconcious rebelling against the system. So 2 days ago, I went back, felt like crap and now I have to be "ACTIVE", basically having a pedometer and doing 12,000 steps per day along with a cardio oriented weight training who does jack shit for my mental and doing about an hour of cardio everyday.

So here's the deal, should I fired him and say his services are no longer needed and take my old stuff and use it again? Or should I once again, shut the hell up and do what I'm told. Also, at the gym I go, I can count on ONE hand, the number of guys who look like they have the shape that I would like. I often use this to gauge a trainer also. Btw, there's not ONE trainer who is bulk, They are in shape alright, but not bulk at all. So what do you guys who have been in the bodybulding, powerlifting biz for over more than a decade could tell me about my situation. I know I must shred off the weight, I'm not denying that but I have a gut feeling that it's not the right way. Why not start a cycle of Clen with a 3 day workout plan and a real nutrition program based on my profile and not the "official" health BS guide that tells you to eat 12 portions of bread per day.

Thanks for reading and any reply would be greatly appreciated!

PS: I forgot to add that even though I look like an overweight football lineman, I'm NOT "allowed" to do bodybuilding yet, according to him, until I have loss all my fat. Isn't it one key component to use your muscles to up your metabolism???

Such a big boy but can't make a simple decision

Fire him.
Get your body building routine back, throw cardio in every other day and stick to your diet.

I did thought about it (and actually wanted to hear that) but I was seeking a more professional opinion before doing so ;) . To be honest, I didn't know if I was the one in fault or if he was. There seems to be this aura of "I have a PhD in kinesology therefore I'm untouchable when it comes to programs" stuff sticked to EVERY trainers. Therefore, no matter what, he's got a better knowledge than me because I'm just coming back to the gym.

This is how the gym works. I just cannot say "you're fired" and that's all. They are going to try and "work the problem out" even though I already went through the process once. Thankfully, my membership ends in October, so if anything goes wrong, I just have to switch gyms.

It's ridiculous that I have to go through almost a therapy-like session just to quit a coach (I'm talking about the establishment, not just packing my stuff and leave).

Oh yeah, the icing on the cake was when I wanted to do shrugs and got told that the traps were not that important for a "proper healthy body".

Stop relying on other people
Pull your finger out and do what you know you need to do.

i.e man up

Self control and discipline.

You don't need a certificate to work that out.

Well it's done. And oddly enough, there's was no fuss. I feel like I've taken a huge weight off my back (no pun intended).

Interestingly also, is the fact that in only two days with my former BB program, I'm feeling completely sore like hell while I never felt like this with his programs. Anyway, thanks Ace for the slap in my face. Sometimes, it's just what you need. :D

Hey Bro..welcome to Meso..stay on board with us,you seem like a cool guy.If you are not happy with a training program you will never benefit from it.More than half of this game is mental.Workout in a gym where there are lots of guys that have the same look you are after. You might want to try depleting your bad carbs, sugars, dairy and go very high protien..your body will burn fat for energy once you do this.Good luck and stick with it.

Thanks for the welcome!

Well about the gyms, I do not have a lot of choices, that's the problem. Long story short, my ideal gym is 10 minutes by car from where I live but since I can't drive (no it's not DUI related, it's anxiety attacks), there's no way I can go to this gym. Taxi is too pricey and forget the bus, It will take me 2 hours just to get there, I know, I've done it. So until I can get back my license I'll still use the gym I'm currently going to. A barbell is a barbell afterall ;).

I did try a no carbs/mod proteins/high fat diet but after 4 days, I couldn't even train. I knew of the side effects of ketosis but it was more than that, I was actually dizzy a whole lot while training and had to stop after only 3 sets which was ridiculous. And my cardio was awful, I did 4 minutes and I almost fainted. Anyway, after watching Ripped To Shred and Relentless, I really feel motivated about having good eating habits.

Sounds like you did the low carb diet correctly..when done that way you will feel like shit for the first week..then the body kicks into over drive and feeds like crazy off your fat reserves. You might try it again sometime but eat a bad carb right before you lift to give you an energy boost.

Also..if your ideal gym is only 10 minute car ride then walk to the gym..that way your cardio will be taken care of before you get there/;)

Believe me I would if I could. It's a short drive because it's a pretty straight route from my place BUT it's a highway. It's only fast because you can go 50-60 mph [:o)]

Also, love the advice on the no carb diet. I'm still freaked out by the high LDL content of it. Can't get it out of my head. Honestly, I would have an easier time eating egg whites, oatmeal & chicken every day with some flax seed or fish oil to make it up in the fat category. But I never say never, I might cycle carbs again or try the anabolic diet. I mean, I have to be on a cutting phase before really moving forward.

Anyway, the good news is that I'm following a program to manage my anxiety and one of the main pillar is to do something that takes your mind out of it and I decide, why not do amateur BB. I got a favorable genetic if everything is kept in check so when I'm coming back from my vacation, I'm doing it. I'm sure you guys might say "Why wait?" Well my answer is "would you start a cycle of anything for just a week?" Same here. I'll see what I can get to naturally and then I'll probably try juicing. I mean, I have to see where I can get physically. From what I've been told from various trainers in the past, I can easily have a 200 lbs lbm without much effort so I'm thinking it will be easy to break that (training like crazy, then again, that's the only way I train) and get maybe at 230-235 (5-6% bf) using. Clen would probably be something I would be using to cut since cutting will be my main problem. But like I've read a thousand times, before using any gear, I got to keep myself in line and perfect.
