Keep people in houses that cannot afford them<-----as a former loan originator, I can assure you that 25% of all foreclosure's are a result of people being mislead/ripped off by loan originators and real estate agents and brokers. Originators got their money, real estate agent's got their money and alot of the fat cats on Wall street got their money. And they left the homeowner holding the bag, along with taxpayers like you and I. One last important point regarding foreclosures. You don't want your neighbor to get foreclosed. When that house becomes vacant, crack heads move in. Foreclosures and Crackheads kill property Value.
Legalize Gay Marriage<----------------I won't call this a lie, but a misconception. Barrack Obama does not support changing the legal definition of marriage as a union between one man and one woman. He does support legalized gay partnerships. Oscar Palamino doesn't think that Gay people should get married. Oscar doesn't like straight marriages either. But he does support your right to marry anyone of legal age. Enter that union at your own risk and in alot of states, a pre-nup won't save you.

Separation of Church and State, i think you forget that sometimes dennis. That is one of the great ideas the USA was built upon. Not imposing your beliefs on other people or making laws based on those beliefs. When you tie in your religious beliefs with politcal comments you lose all validity. However if this was england back in the 1700's then you would probably be doing alright since there wasn't such a thing as separation of church and state. Remember why the pilgrims came to America?

On big business: Obama has a proposed tax credit of 3000 dollars for every job created in the USA. He's rewarding big business for creating jobs here. Not overseas!
Regarding Moslem teachers: Separation of Church and State. It's in the constitution. Also, it's not black history week, it's black history month. And pretty much every other month is white history month. We are allowed to pray in most schools. I can pray and you can pray, but You can't force me to pray and I can't force you to pray.

Regarding abortion: I don't have a great or good argument for that. Perhaps, we could agree on trying to reduce the ammount of unwanted pregnancies?
Regarding healthcare: What if you lose your job Dennis? You get a new one and before your benefits kick in, your liver fails. Then the new insurance company says," that's a pre-existing condition. Can't help ya." We have the great doctors, hospitals and great technology in the U.S. and if we can make it affordable then we should. I think that Jesus would want it to be affordable. I don't believe that Jesus wants us to suffer?
Regarding Guns: a ban on your constitutional right to bear arms would never make it past the supreme court. I hope that it would never make it past congress either.

We do need to end our reliance on foreign oil. We need to invest in alternative forms of energy and that will help strenghthen our economy.
When Clinton was in office, the economy was strong, the budget was balanced and our national debt had been reduced. With Bush, economy is faltering, national debt is skyrocketed and the budget is no longer balanced. The middle class was strong under Clinton and Obama wants to restore the middle class. Obama doesn't want our retirements he wants our retirements to be there for us when we need them. Unlike the people that had money in MCI Worldcom or Bush's buddies at Enron.
Regarding Mortgages: Fannie Mae, under pressure from the Dem's in the 90's, created a pilot program that you could buy a house for no money down for 150k or less at a FIXED RATE of 1 point above the national average. At the time it would have been 7.25. That would have meant 30 years paying 1100$ per month. Most families can afford that and that's a fair program. Unfortunately, in the 2000's greed created some spinoff products and programs that were absolutely toxic. 'No Money Down' Falls Flat Loan originators sold these proucts to people, knowing that they were ripping these people off and that the people would eventually lose there homes and savings. But the originators still got their commissions.
