What does this mean?

I'm going shopping today to prepare for my overhaul which starts this week so I need to be clear about what foods I'm going to buy.

Can someone explain the term "clean diet"?

oh, I'm looking to lose weight and build lean muscle if that helps.

Thanks in advance!

Guess I gotta go to google for this one.

lose weight and build lean muscle at the same time is a bit more difficult than doing one at a time. That's probably why you haven't gotten an answer yet, most people will bulk then cut individually.

Eat lots of lean meat, whole grains, and try to get your fats in the form of unsaturated (such as olive oil or from nuts). Stay away from all junk food, processed foods are usually bad, simple sugars, fast food, saturated fats and things like that. There should be examples of sample diets all over.

Some good things are chicken, cottage cheese, almonds, leafy vegetables (most vegetables, but some can have lots of sugar content), fruit, all natural peanut butter, legumes (beans, i like lentils), things like that.

You hit everything but fish. Always add fish, weather it be fish oil, sardines in a can, tuna (not too much) or salmon.

thanks Mag, thanks Mo! I've been reading about what's good and doing well thus far. Thanks again for all your suggestions and info

Hi all ,
I am new in this forum ,I read all post and love that.Keep sharing more and more information.
Thanks.

its really tough to do both-high protein lower (not low) carb always seem to cut me real quick. and when i bulk i just up the carbs-it works great. its seems to me carb manipulation is the biggest part of any diet

You can go with low fat diet. Trying juices instead of food and snacks will be more beneficial. If you can do some exercise with diet, do it definitely. Exercise with low fat diet is the best way to loose weight.
