The problem with porn addiction is the same as with addiction to anything. Overstimulation of the brain results in some type of reduced function afterward. So, the only way to get normal results the next time is to increase stimulation even further. It is a self-sustaining cycle wherein you need continually increasing stimulation in order to get equivalent results.
It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that you can't jack off to increasingly hard porn a couple hours a day and have normal arousal and sexual function.
I'm 51 yo. Back in the day, there was imagination invovled in jacking off. You thought about girls/women instead of watching porn. Occasionally a kid could get a porn magazine, but mostly you had to put some thought into it.
I guess what I'm trying to say is the internet is becoming a scourge for many guys. It's too easy and sometime dangerous for guys ) minors) to log on. The internet really is a doulbe edged sword.
Yeah, I've watched my share of porn on the internet.
i'm jacking it to your avatar. Lol

Hey, that's my wife! No jacking to pictures of my wife!
Dude, I totally agree. When I was 14-16 I had to use my imagination. Then I got a cable modem.
I have masturbated nearly every day of my life to porn since then. Is that unusual? I have never thought about it like an addiction, but it almost is. I can definitely relate to having to find more "hardcore" stuff to get me going.
It's easy to find out if porn is an addiction for you. Try not looking at it for 30 days. This is what's done in alcoholics anonymous.
I think I'm going to try this. Lets see how many guys want to get in on this challenge. I would bet that 95 guys out of 100 look at internet porn more than they should. Many not for hours like some seriously addicted guys, but definetly more than is healthy.

I'm down. No porn. 30 days. See if you can do it.
[However, I doubt I could go more than a few days without visiting PubMed! LOL [)]]

It must be my age (more likely just me), since I have not looked at porn in any form for more than I can recall - far greater than 10+ years.

I can tell you from personal experience that hot sex every day with multiple hot girls at the same time isn't is great as it sounds. Sometimes it can really be a burden. *sigh*
I've always believed in the "use it or lose it" philosophy, I don't think it is healthy to not ejaculate for 30 days
