ED Issues Continue

If you have been paying attention to previous threads I have been having erectile issues for almost six months now. Started just before I got out of a long term relationship.

It is really been completely hit or miss. In January I had two one night stands, one without alcohol, and one with quite a bit. Both times I was able to get hard but not rock solid. In March/April/May I had a few interactions with different females with no issues that I can remember. However, during this time I was often unable to get hard while masturbating.

Around this time I stopped looking at porn but continued masturbating to orgasm whenever I didn't have sex for a few days. In May I was seeing some chick and had sex with her about 8 times. No ED issues at all. With this girl I was on TRT at the beginning of our relationship, and off TRT by the end of it. I stopped TRT to see what would happen to my ED.

Broke it off with that chick and went to a concert. Grinding with a chick and was a completely nonresponsive down there. Was completely hammered at the time. Happened again a few weeks later - was relatively sober. Because fo this and due to increasing fatigue and lack of progress in the weight room (and a 222 ng/dl testosterone test) I got back on TRT per a urologists recommndations. He also just suggested cialis for the ED and shrugged off any organic cause of ED. DIdn't do any real tests for them, just said I didn't have them.

Back on TRT I am on around 90 mg per week (one injection on Tuesday) I have morning wood every day. I have not orgasmed in 12 days. Last night had sex with a girl. Before sex I was rock solid. She asks me to go down and get her some water so I do. Come back up. Limp dick. She gets kinda pissy. I go to bathroom and pop a Levitra, wait about 10 minutes, and I'm able to get hard. Not sure whether the Levitra did anything (seems like a quick turn around to me) or it was mental.

Either way if anyone has any advice for me on this subject or next steps I'd appreciate it. I'll be getting some bloods done soon to check on the T levels at my new protocol.

Hey dude,

Since you are back on TRT and you are still experiencing this issue (both on and off TRT) I would agree it's most likely a mental block of some sort. I would take your doctor's recommendation and have cialis (or levitra) handy as a "break incase of emergency". Just having it might lower your stress and calm you down and allow you to perform without it. In my pre-TRT days I would occasionally need cialis if I wanted to go "two rounds" because my dick would just not respond. But sometimes just having it, would really relax me and i'd be able to go again without it.

There is a small chance it could be some physical issue and if that's the case it's most likely related to circulation and blood flow to your johnson. The solution for that is cardiovascular excercise on a regular basis and I think you said you do that so that's probably not the issue.

Gluck dude. Keep us posted.

PS The nice thing about cialis is that it lasts upto 3 days. So if you took one on Friday night, you should be good to go the rest of the weekend and can perform anytime you want.

also, for me, cialis was not good, back pain for one, but also an uncertainty about it that didn't work as well psychologically as viagra. with viagra you take it and unless your system is really messed up from trt or cycling you will have some sort of erection with the half hour. with cialis, you just aren't sure about it and it could often result in failure when you really needed some help to get over the nerves of performance with a partner and you were unsure about how your trt or test program was going to let you down or not at that moment

See even with Viagra I don't just get a random boner. It makes it easier for me to get hard (or close to it) but I just won't get a random hard on .

You can try a few things:

See if you can add HCG to your TRT protocol. Even if you use it intermittently it might help. Or rotate between IM T and HCG only or mostly HCG with small amounts of T-gel.

Keep an eye on your E2 levels when you have bloodwork done. You may need to split the T dose or go back to EOD.

The next time you have wood and the girl wants water, tell her to go get it herself. Or, better yet, be more insistent that she accept the more immediate alternative.

I have been using 250 iu hcg the day twice weekly in conjunction with my T and haven't noticed any difference...

Let's see how your labs look when you get them. Your E2 could be too high.

In this particular case I think you might be right !

High E2 definetly causes ED. Considering he was on a run of clomid prior to going back onto TRT, his E2 is probably skyhigh. It could have been high prior to the clomid since he was experiencing ED issues before that as well!

Definetly check your E2, Cubbie.

I checked it after I came off of the clomid. My E2 then was 39. TT was 479. SHBG 29. I'll have it checked again at my follow up. My morning wood has been stellar, which is what I don't get at all.

You'll need a couple of TT and E2 readings with the IM T/250IU HCG protocol to get a sense of how E2 has been changing. E2 does not need to be above (or below) the normal E2 lab range to be an issue. Sometimes it goes too high too fast and that's all it takes...and with HCG it can easily happen.
