What self interest might someone have for outing a rep?

I believe Millard is referring to the rep as the self interested party, not the someone outing them.

Sorry for any ambiguity. What I mean was source/rep covertly acting in self-interest. Not the members outing them.

Although I guess it's always possible that one rep could want to (falsely) out another member as a rep (when member is really providing honest feedback).
