It's the way to go, partner. Also, if you're in the us and ordering from an international source in certain areas and you live on the West Coast and select other zips, a remailer located on the East Coast or New York is advisable.
Lower success rate of delivery if you live on the east coast and source is in Asia and some other spots. Many sources won't tell customers this.

That's good info.

I don't know if it would be allowed, but I bet thread written by you, outlining mailing safety would be very informative to a lot of members.

Thanks for the info. I see UPS needs 2 forms of ID so I dont know how that would keep you safe..

I did see some forwarding services online that don't require an ID but you still have to put your "contact" information in. But the one I read says they can inspect the package if need be...

Maybe I am being overly paranoid.

The remailer if you have a an addy like I do makes the odds less that customs will snag your shit and inspect. Statistics...odds....ya can't fuck with math...the numbers.
When I was running amuck in my younger days I had several fake Id's...social sec cards to match a DL. Gotta put some effort into the layering.

Being a re-mailer is legit gig. People have their mail delivered to one place and then they have it shipped to another addy. People travel for work...there are other reasons to hire a remailer that won't make things look fishy. Trust.

Are you saying to have Asia mail remailed to
an East Coast address, if you live on West Coast?
Then say East Coast has less success rate
from Asia?

I hear the West Coast deliveries have problems
and not East Coast. ... True?

West coast addresses have a lower success rate as far as the packs making it through customs. So what you do is hire a remailer in New York or east coast. The remailer simply forwards your mail to your addy on the west coast. Your pack has cleared customs so now you're good to go.
Some online sources will insist you do this if you wanna do business because more paks get snagged depending on your zip code.
Again, there is nothing shady about using a remailer.

Any reason to mess with it if you use a domestic source?

No...we're just trying to make the odds better that the pack clears customs. I suppose this would be considered safer as far as getting busted too but customs would just take your shit and send you a letter telling you so. If it's a large amount you may run the risk of a controlled delivery, but I'm talking about guys getting personal use amounts...not guys getting large shipments for distributing Some overseas shops won't ship to the west coast because they find themselves having to give a reship. Then they may have to deal with someone posting shit saying they suck or whatever at shipping when it has nothing to do with that. It's the customers location that is the issue,
Many people use a mailbox etc or similar company to have domestic packs shipped to so they don't have to deal with a mailman. Some people live on the 3rd floor or whatever and the mailman may not wanna make the walk, People don't wanna get the card saying they have to go pick up the pack cuz it couldn't fit in their little slot or whatever.

Fuckin West Coast always got some shit fucked up :D

Just so everyone is clear in what BB said,
let me just go over it, in more detail..

You have all your gear mailed to me, on
the East Coast, I take out my payment .. few bottles of Tren..
I then repack and mail to you, at your West Coast addy...

No problem, very simple procedure ...

I will even throw in a signed picture
of the Jersey Shore house...
Yes, the exact one The Situation stayed in
with the rest, of the crew... Signed by me

Just to be clear--is domestic pretty safe to your door? Is there anything extra I can do/should do to cover myself when buying domestic?

Just make sure you buy from someone who ships in a smart way.

There are rules that USPS will look for when sorting mail.

excessive taping on seams

Return address in a different county than where the pack was mailed from

No name on return address

Recipient name having no link to the address...(meaning using a fake name and shipping to your home address could be counter-productive)

These all throw up bells. And yet many UGL's and retarded resellers don't even know this.

Yeah, I researched controlled deliveries for days awhile back, and you pretty much summarized all my findings. After kicking around P.O. box ideas and even virtual office/mailbox services, I am now thinking the best method is to request Express Mail with signature waived. That way, at least, there is a much shorter window of opportunity (for Postal Inspectors to inspect, notify LE and have LE coordinate controlled delivery). I mean, if your package doesn't show next day after shipping, you know something went bad and not to accept. I just like the idea of stacking all the odds (and lighting quickness has much to be said in terms of odds), and I'd pay the premium for that service. Seems the UGL would benefit from happy customers with quick receipts and a greatly reduced chance of nasty surprises. Does that make sense?
