We can/must/will

So, after a 14hr roadtrip I log on to find a mailbox full of PM's:eek:

I knew I would have some, and the questions were well placed and deserved. But the sheer amount of them meant that I obviously needed to post something in the open. I made a post, a few days ago, but this was obviously missed by some, clearly through no fault of yours. I should have created this thread days ago, but I genuinely believed we could dig out, in a more timely fashion. I was wrong. And I apologize for making people wonder.

An explanation is clearly wanted and deserved.

Over the last 2 weeks, we have been simply overwhelmed with orders. I personally have an order which had payment collected on the 15th, and I have yet to receive a tracking number. The owner has assured me that the tracking numbers will go out via email this weekend.

The way the situation developed; we went from slower than we would like to be, to happily busy, to very busy, to, too busy seemingly overnight. Frankly, we got caught with our pants down. We were lulled into a false sense of security over the previous months where business was more slow. (Before I got here:cool:) This is a mistake that we will not allow to happen again. And we are putting measures in place to assure this. At first when we started to fall behind, we simply put our heads down, and worked feverishly in an attempt to satisfy orders, but as they continued to roll in at an ever increasing pace, it became clear that the harder we worked, the deeper we were getting buried. Eventually, (far too late) we decided to go back to square one, and rethink our strategy.

So, we closed our site.

I am desperately trying to make sure this thread does NOT sound like an excuse. We were unprepared. There is no excuse for that. We realize that we will not be successful if we allow it to happen again. We are a business run by athletes; athletes who are not accustomed to, nor accepting of failure, first and foremost from ourselves. We are disappointed in ourselves for the slow turnaround we have provided recently.

This is the reason we stopped taking orders this week, and once we are 100% sure that we can again provide a high level of service, we will start taking orders and worry about making money again. At the moment, we are concerned only with doing right by those who have already ordered/paid.

We can
We must
We will

Be better.

Responses/criticisms/critiques are welcomed as always.

Sorry again, and thank you for your bearing with us.

I appreciate the explanation, better than sittin around scratching my ass, assuming I'd been had.

Nice to see that you guys are putting out the effort, and being upfront about this issue. I hope you guys stand the test of time.

No complaining from me, I screwed up my order and SF went above and beyond to make things right. I have been tracking my payment and somewhat wondering about when it was going to be collected, but this makes sense.

no big deal. your update is all we need. these things happen. all we can do is learn and improve imo

You are a no good piece of garbage, donkey humper!!!!!! [:o)]

Just Kidding...Thanks for the update and don't worry about the cry babies :D

As long as you dont push out orders with bunk gear because your so "backlogged"

Bunk gear?

I wouldnt even know where to find bunk ge...........

YO dead-dick! Hey man, think you can help me out? I know YOU got the hook up on that bunk...

Seriously though. I didn't want to get too specific on the open forum, but unfortunately the issues have been more shipping related than inventory related. We simply overwhelmed our shipper, we are adding more positions to combat this. The secondary issue which some of you have noticed has been our ability to collect funds in a timely manner. This has certainly embarrassing for a company which desires to be viewed as professional.

As you have questioned me, I have in turn interrogated the owner, (shit, uncharacteristically rolled uphill;)) subsequently several orders have been forwarded to our shipper, before payment was picked up.

Is it not okay for first time customers to place orders then?

I plan to order something by next week, will that be possible?

Appreciate the updates, thanks.
