Interestingly, I had a former student of mine send that clip, I was not aware that that fight was filmed. I also lost it, so thanks dead dick, now I have it.

With all due modesty, BJJ is just one element of my game. W/out the Gi (have a pretty solid wrestling background, 3 year varsity in HS) and take BJJ guys down easily. I also have a ton of striking training (boxed w/ Cus Damatto protege, Peter Allindo....he use to steel Mike Tysons' cookies). I also trained MT w/ a Thailand champ, Kyokushin Karate w/ Matt Ives, and Kickboxing w/ San Shou champ Mike Altman.

I am also at the range at least once a month (most cops barely go once a year).

I do at least 2 tactical training courses a year for firearms..

There is nothing that this douche could throw at me that I am not prepared for. I carry iwb, but also have a Sig under my armpit. I carry 2 guns because I handle fairly large amounts of cash.

Like I said, don't want to shot anyone, but I am always prepared.

Karo was awesome,fought my friend Matt Serra. He is one of the people who have transitioned to MMA from judo really well. Your friend is correct, he had some drug issues that kept hm out of the fight game. He is training w/ Honda Rousey nowadays.

Interestingly, this "discussion" reminds me of what Hugh Heffner said about the ages of women he likes. He said "I get older, but my taste in women stays the same", meaning he still liked women in their mid-late 20's.

I agree. As I get older, the number moves slightly up, but I like women in their late 20's, early 30's. My wife is 15 years younger than me, 35, but looks 28.

There is also a formula that determines if you are a creep or not. The formula is, half plus 7. So, say you are 40 half plus 7 would be 27. Any younger and you are a creep, but 27 is A OK.

I would also put a 17 year tops age difference. So if you are 60, the youngest you can go is 43, not 37. Even at a 15 years difference sometimes my wife and I have very different cultural touchstones. For example, she listens to Lady Ga Ga. I try and broaden her horizons, by exposing her to other music: I was playing Led Zeppelin and asked her "can you name this band?" She said "are they old?"
