sending money internationally for a domestic source?

Bitcoins should be the standard..Iv used it before and was the simplest most anonymous transaction iv ever done..MG and WU require ID to send money at my location, its so bad my girl went to make a money wire and they knew her social security number, address, all past transactions and phone number...she was trippen when they told her that

I don't buy it.

How would they know her social?

I use a private source that receives via WU with a security question.

He sends me a name to use and a city to send to.
I go to WU and send to his fake name.
As the sender name, I always pick a different first name and the same last name.

So, if he says send $300 to Chuck Taylor....I go to WU and fill out the paperwork to say that I am Jim Taylor sending $300 to Chuck Taylor.

I make the security question....."what is moms name?"

Lately I find myself using my source that accepts moneypak more and more...just for the convenience.

I don't see how it is safe for them to do so. Which makes me worry, but at least there's no record of who bought the moneypak which makes it safe for me.

Moneypak is just so nice and convenient.

^^^ true. Buy a card with cash, and you dont even have to make up a bogus name.

Keep in mind that if you use a fake name and there's a problem with MG or WU where you have to get your money back and do the whole thing over, kiss your money goodbye ... unless you have an ID under your fake name because without the ID, no refund. It doesn't matter whether you or your source messed it up, you aren't getting you're money back unless you show ID for whatever name the transaction was under. Been there, done that .

I have used green dot before then you just call or email the code on the back of the card and bam they have there money

Never used it yet , but next order from who takes it I definitely want to give it a try. I hate sending money overseas so much I've cancelled orders when payment instructions would come up and it was going to some remote corner of the world with a receiver named Abdul Tarbar ...

I loved it when I saw BS had a receiver in the US :)

I think what's around the corner will be WU and MG having to report transactions going to third world countries with the way things are going.

This. I always used my real name for this reason.

MoneyPak is a little more anonymous and usually a bit cheaper, despite the fact that the employees at GreenDot are by far and away the most inept individuals I've ever had the displeasure of working with.

Ever since my experience of trying to get a refund with a fake name , I always use my real name. Besides, how stupid can we think the authorities are that they'd be completely baffled by a different name on the address label. [:o)]

" ..... Damn, I thought for sure we had this guy with ten vials of testosterone and it's not him after all ! See ... the names don't match ... it was mailed to the wrong guy !!! "

Because where im from they require a photo I.D. to send funds one of the merchants here even take a photo copy of I.D.s to keep on file...I'm telling you this place is turning into a police state...and Honestly the clerck knew her social, she prolly signed up years ago and just for got that she filled out forms and gave away all her info..and its more simple to receive funds then it is to send because like you said they dont even have to use an I.D. just a secret ???

The WU in my area is getting too nosy imo. they asked me last time why i send money to different receivers in different countries. Also they banned a friend of mine from reviving funds as the did not like the frequency of transaction. and to boot, they have removed the secret question (No ID required) Feature.... i`m not sure if im dealing with a rouge WU location of if Canadian WU`s are clamping down.

Where are you going? Like a lil MOM n POP shop? Where you see the same person everytime?

I go the big stores, where you're likely to get a 16 year old kid, more concerned with texting her friends than doing my WU

Then I double-check it 100 times to make sure everything is perfect before leaving.

Not a mom and pop shop its a "Money mart" I used to use the WU in walmart, but after they kept making mistakes on the transfers, i call it quits with them.
